The battering ram, its end shredded from the saronite bracing and spikes on the Citadel's front door, is abandoned at the entrance. The sound of weapons, screams of battle and pain, and otherworldly noises of magic and once-dead things erupt from the tower. The greatest stories will be made here as the assault continues.

(( This one isn't meant to be as conversational--let's hear your narratives of your first steps into the Citadel. There's a ton of great material Blizzard has handed us, let's make use of it! ))

In the sky, a large raven of sorts was diving head first towards the earth.  Just several feet away from the ground, the bird arched it's back and grew larger, quickly transforming into the shape of a Tauren.  The Tauren wasted no momentum and began charging into the forbidden fortress where his comrads waited.  He entered knowing every second was vital, every second was precious.  As he entered, he saw dozens, if not 100's ghouls and skeletons charging into the Ashen Verdict warriors.
"Bearborn! Over here, quickly!"  He looked up, seeing some figure wearing a Grim's tabard.  WIthout checking to see who called his voice, he shifted into his bear form and charged the skeletal warrior that was attacking his ally.

The last things many of those men and women would hear were the battlecries of bravery, the echoes of screaming pain, clashes of steal, and Fording's encouraging words.
