An opportunity in mending

It was morning, just a second ago... or was it hours ago? I can't remember... The sun is setting now, and there are many other things to be doing. I cannot live with the breeze on my neck, or perhaps I live because of it... Whatever the case may be, it is fruitless to think much more into this.
The shadows of the trees began to stretch as the sun dipped into the horizon. Colours of the sky streamed like prayers of war, blood spatter against golden locks of Alliance, orange and red warpaint washing into the cool pools of the rivers... Athalia closed her eyes and leaned back against a large rock, listening to the whimpering of a human three paces from where her own feet were.
His blood was warmer than I expected, cold hands mean a warm heart, warm hands mean....
Athalia tensed, there had been a snap and a muffled wail from in front of her. Opening her eyes she looked at the chiseled features of the human before her, a smug grin pressed her lips, "Oh... just you." Quirking an eyebrow she sent out a burst of light around her, charring the flesh of the human but revealing no hidden fiend. Sighing, she scrunched her nose and leaned back comfortably against the rock.
It's going to get cold soon... Or my body will feel it is... Perhaps the Alterac Mountains isn't the best place to...
Rest never seemed to come easy these days. Athalia flinched looking down at her arm, pulling up the sleeve of her robes revealed a purple, blue and green bruise extending in circumference around the arm from just above her wrist to the middle of her upper arm-- a healed burn mark in the shape of what appeared to be a rune glared at her--
Red... Much like the blood that courses through is veins.. through my--- a break in thought Cessily once had a withered arm... I tried to remedy it.... There is no remedy for the soul...
She kicked the human at her feet and looked around in the settling dark. If his hearthstone was on, she'd gladly accept the company of combat... There was nothing however, no blade of grass stirred.
"Was it enjoyable? Tagging an elf?" She furrowed her brow, looking down at him unconcerned with his answer, "Sin'dorei, 'Elf', the same, the same... And different... I didn't think I'd see you again so soon..." She grinned, "I know people who'd be gunning for your head, sir."
She narrowed her eyes at the pitiful heap of 'man' that lay before her, bloodied, burned and bruised from her.
"Just had to interrupt my fishing, didn't you?" she growled quietly, holding her arm to her stomach as if to shield it.
The truth of the matter is, Athalia, you couldn't have taken him down if he weren't weak... If he were not already wounded..
((Worried about the set up for this... I've not posted on forums in yearrrrrs for the first post of an RP thread.))
