The Flotsam: Under new management

Unread post by Skalla »

Skalla wiped the grease from her hands on a rag and stepped back to admire what she had created. It was massive, a beautifully crafted vessel of iron and glass extending throughout three docks. She bet she could fit the entire guild on this baby.
On a table nearby lay the original plans she took over from Gnitch, although the casual observer wouldn't know they belonged to the vessel infront of her. While the original plans looked similar to a garden variety Horde airship with extra large engines bristling out of the sides and mithril crafted turbines for slicker speed (her idea, she was proud to say), the finished vessel looked, with a little imagination, a bit like a giant metal shell, though that was only because she had the deep-sea hood up at the moment. It was fully retractable, pulling back like a metal accordion over the bow to look more like a regular ship, though it was anything but. This ship was the first vessel capable of sailing not just ABOVE the waves, but BELOW them as well to depths as far as 10 leagues. She bet she could make a vessel capable of going deeper, but... she doubted the hood design would support it.
Yes, this was sure to be her crowning achievement, her magnum opus. But then... why did she feel like she was forgetting something? She walked around the vessel, checking off all of the inspection points on her clip board. The hull passed the density tests, the air balloon was folded beneath the deck and ready to inflate, the gas canisters were secure and full. By all accounts, the Flotsam was ready to take off and fight some Alliance too... Skill paused, then smacked her forehead. THE WEAPONS! She forgot to include the Weapons!
