Skalla's first Trial

Skalla waited with bated breath as the fight promoters slowly counted down the time to her next match. She checked her gun for what seemed like the thousandth time, her sweaty, faintly trembling fingers checking every knob and setting.
"Okay," she said to herself, "no sweat... just do what Kiannis said... bring back some ally skulls for the Boss man..."
Even so, she found herself less than assured. This challenge was harder than she thought; the new combos Kiannis had drilled her in far more complex than her typical routine of simply sicking her mechano-wolf Shredder at her enemies.
For the first time she stood alone, completely dependent on her own strength and not that of others or some clever contraption she had devised. It was a new, terrifying sensation, but she was determined to succeed... if for no better reason than to avoid the wrath of Lilliana. That troll scared the sprockets out of her!
"And for our next challenger... SKALLA BLASTSPROCKET!" shouted the announcer, a fellow goblin by the sound of him. "I'm tellin' ya folks, this gal just doesn't know when to quit! This is her fifth match tonight, and somehow she's still standin'! I gotta admire her, but my money's still on the other guy TUROK MULGRAVE!"
The Drenai that approached her in the center of the ring was the biggest son-of-a narru she had ever seen, but perhaps that was simply her imagination; a lot of things look huge when your little over 3 feet tall. He strutted to the center of the ring, his face a rock wall of solid indifference, and swung a massive two-handed battle hammer at a nearby boulder, reducing it to powder without ever breaking his stride.
"Combatants, prepare yourselves!" the announcer shouted.
"Hey, T-Turok... is...is that a squid on your face or.. I mean... your mama is so fat, she thinks apex crystals are..."
"FIGHT!"
