Trial of combat-Bainesidhe

Unread post by Dullahean »

*Finally a demon scuttled up to Ruuki when she wasn’t busy it seemed to know exactly when to approach her the demon looked like a crab but it had a human face. The Face was upside down there were no pincers for the crab and it was purple in color.. It held a small ball on it’s back it stopped waiting for Ruuki to take it then scuttled off.. The note attached to the ball said it was usable 5 times. When she poured blood on the ball new images showed up the movie took about an hour and a half. Blurring between each clip.*
*Bainesidhe looked at the mage she wanted to kill in truth she hated Khagar, but after a battle with him in which he beat her within an inch of her life.. he thought her a wonderful fighter and cannon fodder for his plans against the demons. He sent her into dungeons first what did he care that her diseases actually infected the iron horde as long as they didn't spread. As she gained more of his trust she decided she would make something that would make her will her own once and for all. She had enough of the lich king she had enough of Khagar.. everyone who used mind melting magics.. she would reign supreme in time..*

*For now she was to fight in the proving grounds the only way the horde or the alliance would allow others into the tougher missions she had no problem with it. It was actually difficult she was out of practice some of her fire attacks missed.. and her bones were old from time.*

*Luckily the illusions didn't fight back her years of fighting the years of her bones moving a certain way were no match for the illusions. So she practiced and it took longer than normal to get what she needed for this fight. She got her old bones up over and over again the Panderan found this amusing. But she had the will of ages to work against that which would beat her down which in the end was possibly the only thing that would make her be a hero the will to get things done and the patience to let time do it for her.*

*Bainesidhe finally worked it and she did it well, the icey cold froze them in place making their armor chatter and the saurok’s scales chip and crack. The cold flame crept up as the demon she made a pact with for destruction came down and ice shards littered from a cold hell beyond what most warlocks know. Her magic was from the world beyond and it was apparent as in the scene the way of it shifted twirled and blurred out. Seemingly from nothing, chaos and this world all at once. Finally as the world seemed to heave for a breath the ice shattered and the foes were destroyed by her weaving of her magics. She felt hot.. She felt empowered and she felt exhausted she had a slightly hunched over figure but most Forsaken do, that’s when the Pandaren cheered.* Bainesidhe is ready!

*Khadgar gave Bainesidhe a look, one of those looks that stated “If I didn’t need you I’d kill you.” She was only moderately better than Garrosh in his eyes because of what she does with things. Still she is a necessary evil especially with the tasks coming up. *

*First was the train she was elected because the train was hot and they had a temperature sensitive deathnkight in the group her cold fire was just the ticket to keep him going keep him taking while the rest of the group took out the foes. They went down the train Bainesidhe moved better than the trials her bones weren’t so creaky. She started to fluidly move like a sneaky stealthy night elf. Her boney feet could barely be heard on the metal especially with her shoes on and she slid into the shadows and out again freezing the stronger foes so the mage could shatter them with ice. The world started to breath again blur and twist as she worked on destroying the foes in the train.. Finally they got to the engine.. Killing the engineer the deathknight made the final blow but she held it encased in ice so the deathknight could approach and do it. Her fireball creature with three eyes and a bad temper started shooting at the engine and she encased it in ice freezing it protecting the core of iron from damage as the train crashed.. Between her ice casing and the healer they all made it out alive managing to scrounge out the core.*

*Weeks past more was expected from this old woman because she was ancient. More was expected because she was nightelf. And more was expected because she trucked with demons Grim had to make sure that she controlled the demons that she was LOYAL to the horde that she was going to kill Alliance. This she did especially Nightelves with a vengeance few matched the cold wrecked their forests and she left mostly unscathed.*

*She was selected for the second test. Again because her fire was cold, many mages were sick and mostly frost mages were bed ridden and not allowed on the missions. She was immune, and she used her powers to even out the temperature in the Slave mines. The Ogres were big they had tough skin. They knew magic just like the warlocks. Trouble was their magic was infernal, demon and hot, hers was from the outer rim the old gods originally tapping into a slumbering force without waking it was an intricate art long lost many years ago. She perfected it. And as the demons and ogres tried to smash her and the group again she showed that her bones were working she moved out of the way of the strikes with a Night Elve’s finesse. One by one they took the Ogres and the elemental demons down. Freezing them blasting them taking them apart. The Other forsaken mage wasn’t sick yet helped in the freezing. The Boomkin was a proficient healer and could bring out the damage of nature tearing things apart that the mage and her froze. The monk used the brew to make the ogres drunk which was hilarious to say the least. The other warlock was hot enough to bring an explosion effect between the ice flows of herself and the mage. Eventually the ogres were fell the elementals were frozen and the slave minds was encased in ice. She managed to go into the volcano pulling out the fire core with her Green three eyed imp minion.. And the second core was obtained for that insane mage.*

*Taking the second Core to Khagar the mage prepared it.. Then she went back to work on the diseases. Ruuki could see she was testing it on alliance prisoners. Many of them died painfully and she was being careful in her research. She put in a request for the next mission. However and Khagar had the perfect mission for her as the final test.*

*Bainesidhe was requested to go to everbloom. Because she knew diseases because she could freeze the plants causing more damage than fire would in a jungle she was selected she had three days to make a disease to weaken the plants. That she did with brutal efficiency the disease was dropped off with green containers 24 hours prior. By the time they hit the area most of the plants were weakened those taken over by the plants could act of their own accord. It was an unintended side effect that Bainesidhe of course claimed was intended give Khagar a reason to think she’s doing nice things so she can smite him later. Those that could be released were those that weren’t they had to go in and destroy. Another deatknight in this group it worked off of blood so she had to be careful to freeze around the foes with blood. This time she was almost perfect in synching with the others never acting out of turn working to freeze foes in the flames twist the world just right so the strikes hit harder. It came to the point of the greatest test. Could she put away her anger long enough to complete an objective?*

*Bainesidhe had a cold calculating prescision as the night elf mages froze the beast at the end of everbloom that held the life core.. She used her freezing fire to freeze dry the leaves hitting the creature she moved dexterously like a night elf breaking and diseasing the vines wrapping around the night elve’s ankles as they concentrated her demon was slashing the beast in many places. And with the aid of her team they finally fell the beast. Making it so that no mages fell in the battle. Khagar was doubly impressed with the mages returned and she returned with the life core he released her from service.. and she left him a little present for later.*

*Bainsidhe would show the formula for the vaccine. She showed a successful test of the vaccine with a gnome mage. In the ball is a vial of the vaccine.*

Ruuki was already tired by the time she sat down in her office, the thrice damned peons having decided that before the crack of dawn was the perfect time to make the repairs to the hall just beneath her window. She sipped quietly on a hot mug of kafa, taking a few moments of tranquility to clear her mind for the tasks that lay ahead. The strange crustacean-like demon interrupted those thoughts, and she reached for something heavy to smack the nasty creature away. The orb on its back caught her attention, and she recognized it for what it was- a message from her rarely seen Supplicant. She scowled, having to leave the comfort of her desk to trudge down to the mess hall once more for blood. Why was couldn't these Supplicants send messages the traditional way, or better yet, show up and speak their tales in person? Khorvis was a frightening visage to behold it's true, but seriously...

She returned, her kafa gone now as the demon ran laps around her office, chattering incessant nonsense. She opened the door, letting it escape into the hall and chase about the peons and staff for a while so she could have some peace. The orb went into the blood, and for the next hour and a half she watched the recordings, taking notes when she felt it appropriate. Indeed, these were no small feats she accomplished. The vial of supposed vaccine, however... that she would have their warlocks examine. Never in her life would she allow something like that to be put into her own body. She took pencil and paper to write her reply.

"Bainesidhe,

I have received the report of your Trial of Combat and found it sufficient. You have passed. I'm well aware that working with that Human mage is testing at best, but it is worth tolerating him for a short while. His ability to craft powerful artifacts is well noted, and the ring he promises is no different.

I am still uncertain of your little side venture. You can explain it when you come to the next gathering of the Inquisition. There, I will assign your second Trial.

-Inquisitor Ruuki the Reborn"

She opened her door, intending to hunt down the little demon, but it seemed someone had done so for her already, as it lay slumped against the door, twitching slightly from the caffeine. She handed it the rolled parchment.

"You will take this back to your mistress. Now go."
