Rage and Passion

The meeting was adjured and Orphyn stood before Ruuki who seemed to have her aire of general distain for him, something he was oblivious to so it didn't bother him. He mulled over the final trial for a moment in the way he thought about most things, with cold logic. He was tasked with replacing his heart with one that wasn't dependent on the Clockwork mechanics of his current heart. When he was reanimated as a Death Knight, his heart was damaged too much to be a viable heart. Necrocrafters of the Ebonhold, who were the Scourge's engineers of death tasked with making corpses that were too mutilated or damaged to be reanimated, had described Orphyn's heart when it was first extracted as, "An exploded tomato that had turned a few days before." Needless to say it wouldn't work, but had enough usable flesh to be attached to a titanium clockwork heart and installed. It worked of course, but barely. It seemed to have left Orphyn in a consistently stoic disposition, which made no sense to the Necrocrafters. It was benefitial as a Death Knight, and therefore the Necrocrafters claimed it was a purposeful effect. If the process didn't have such a high chance of causing arteries to explode, they would have installed them in all their resurrections.
Orphyn left the grounds of the inquisition by Death Gate. The only portal the Mages couldn't seem to open and a gift granted to those remade as Death Knights. Stepping through the gate into the floating Necropolis where it's guards identified their own kind and lowered their swords. Orphyn walked to the Necrocrafter's quarters where, from what Orphyn could tell, were doing something elaborate with intestines strung across their lab area. One of the Necrocrafters, a Forsaken named Noxin recognized Orphyn and raised an eyebrow that quickly drooped due to rotting muscles in his face. He approached Orphyn after setting down a jar of eyes and turned to him with a slow walk towards him.
"Orphyn is what they call you now, yes? What brings you home?" Noxin said this with a bit of sarcasm.
Orphyn closed the distance between him with purpose with echoing foot falls in his boots that the sudden stop of his gate seemed to boom against the stone and metal construction.
"This one is called Orphyn, correct." He responded.
"...This one? Yes, yes. Again, what is 'this one' doing here?" Noxin said slightly annoyed
"I require a new heart." Orphyn said flat and plainly
Noxin frowned, the best he could, then glared at Orphyn. "Why...what did you do to the one I made you?" Noxin tapped Orphyn's chest where his heart plate was located. The pinging echoed as his boned finger.
Orphyn looked down at the finger with a flat expression then looked back at Noxin.
"Nothing. It has been deemed inefficient by the Grim. I require a fully flesh heart that requires no maintenance."
Noxin snarled. "Oh! So the Grim decided it was inefficient! Well since the Grim are such experts at Clockwork Cardio systems then perhaps they should come here and design you a new heart. It's not like I don't spend all my days with my hands bending bone, sculpting flesh, and rebuilding corpses into works of art! Perhaps that rogue you're always hanging around can come and offer some suggestions. Oh, what about that airhead troll girl can 'Like, totally, come here and like, have, like good ideas about how to make a way cool heart or something.' Is that what you think is best?" Noxin stared at Orphyn with disdain.
"They are not qualified to make such decisions." Orphyn responded without sarcasm.
Noxin rolled his eyes so hard that his left eye fell out of its socket and dangled from its nerve before he pushed it back in.
"Damn right they aren't qualified." He stroked his chin for a moment, now shifting his attitude to interested in the project. "If you want a new heart then you will need to get the materials. I don't have anything here fresh enough to work with." He walked over to a wooden table where he took out a parchment and a quill. Then started drawing up anatomical diagrams of hearts. "Forgetting the fact that it will almost certainly kill you installing a new heart made of flesh. You need to decide who the 'donor' will be. Choose carefully."
Orphyn approached the table from the other side and stood at attention. "I was planning on taking it without permission."
Noxin stopped his scribbling to look up at Orphyn, sneering. "Maybe a heart from someone who understands sarcasm."
Orphyn nodded, noting it mentally. "It was suggested a Orc's heart would be preferable. Rage was a quality that was desired."
Noxin continued his scribbling on the paper. "Yes...and no. While a Orc's heart means you'll have more 'Rage'. You'll need a Sin'dorei's heart or to be able to accept it. Although... a hybrid heart could work." Noxin started drawing segmented lines over the diagram of the heart he had already drawn. "Sin'Dorei and whatever else you desire. No Taurens! They're too big and it will pump blood into your head with so much pressure your eyes will burst. No goblin hearts either. Troll...could work. Forsaken if it has enough flesh to it. I'd suggest Human but I know how your new friends view that concept."
Orphyn nodded. "By your command." He turned and turned on one foot and began to walk mechanically away.
Noxin yelled after him. "That wasn't a command you blithering puppet! Don't forget to freeze it after extraction!"
Orphyn took a series of flights to Orgrimmar. Orc's were prominant here and it seemed to be the best place to start. Orphyn stood in the dirt streets observing its citizens. Orphyn saw plenty of potentials. A few he approached to look closer at their chest cavities and general health. Resulting in uncomfortable Orcs and Trolls to back away or growl at him. Orphyn realized that simply taking a heart from a member of the Horde would cause controversy amongst the Grim. Let alone cause him to be arrested for murder. Orphyn decided to think on this for a while. He knew there were Horde that the Grim allowed him to kill. He considered some of the members of Sanctuary, but then dismissed this as another poor choice due to their travelling together and knowing that it would take too much time to obtain one of their hearts. He sat down in the middle of the dirt road for a thinking session. Something that annoyed the citizens. They cursed at him blocking their paths. Orphyn, as always was oblivious to other's spite towards him. He knew it would have to be a Horde heart of a criminal, or a traitor, someone with few allegiances. So he settled to find an Orc heart first at the posting boards for wanted criminals.
Unfortunately there weren't many postings. Let alone one for the kind of Orc that would make a suitable carrier. There was one Orc that was wanted for "Aggravated Groping" something Orphyn measured in his head if a groping could be aggravated enough to be considered rage. Then a tap on his shoulder broke his concentration. He turned to see a group of four Goblins geared out for combat.
"Hey...you lookin' to score?" said the Goblin holding a rifle over his shoulder.
Oyphyn was mystified as to how he was able to tap his shoulder. Then he tried to understand what score meant in this context. "I am looking for a Orc criminal."
The Goblin hunter studied him and looked at his compaitriots. "Yeah, ok. We're looking for a specific Orc Criminal. We could use a Death Gripper among the group if you care to join us. We'll give you 10% of the bounty. Deal?"
Orphyn replied flatly . "10% is enough. I will join your hunt"
The Goblins were too pleased with their deal. The 10% was going to be 1% then the actual bounty. They didn't realize Orphyn's intention for the bounty. They tracked the bounty for a few days. Their quarry was wanted for working as a Mercenary for the Alliance. A few times as a spy, revealing valuable intelligence. A bounty was placed on his head, alive. The authorities wanted to know exactly what he had shared with the Alliance, and jobs he had worked as well. The Orc was a feirce combatant. Something the Goblin Bounty Hunting company would have found out themselves, but that wasn't how they opperated. This particular group was known as the "Silver Teeth Bounty Acquisitions Corporation, LLC." None of them had silver teeth, but it sounded good. STBAC, LLC. for short, had a great business model. Take up as many of the wanted postings as they could, then wait for some dumb muscle to come up and look for postings on a nearly bare board. They would tell them they could get in on their company hunt for a 10% cut as a "Contract Worker". Which was of course was not actually 10% but much lower. When they approached their target, they would plan out an elaborate trap for their bounty where their Contract Worker would engage their target, while they safely watched from a distance under the guise of setting up the trap. The Contract Worker would either be killed but tired out and weaken the quarry, or capture the bounty single handedly. In the case of the latter, the Goblins would rush out and tell him they were just about to spring the trap but good work anyway. They'd pay their Contract Worker up front at that point so they didn't have to bother taking the quarry back or see how much money was actually paid. Orphyn seemed dumb enough to fall for the con. He was ignorant enough to trust the Goblins. The Goblins however, did not take into account to tell Orphyn to be very specific as to how long the Bounty had to be alive, as he was worth twenty five times more in that condition. The whole incident was fast and violent. Orphyn subdued the nearly ravenous Orc Warrior alive as instructed. The Goblins celebrated and told Orphyn what a good job he did, and they were nearly ready to spring an elaborate trap. They were about to pay Orphyn his gold they intended when he opened the bound Orc's chest with his dagger he carried on his belt. The Orc gasped and gurgled blood and let out noises that were drowned out by a collective yells of the Goblins as they watched their payday's heart is pulled from its chest and then frozen in his clutch.
"This is less than 10% of flesh. It will be sufficient." Orphyn turned and placed the heart in a satchel bag. The Goblins were silenced, considered their options and then turned to walk away in stunned, despaired silence. Orphyn watched them walk, and curse something at him with a sarcastic remark about taking 100%. Orphyn realized proof of the donor could be useful for his trial. He opened a Death Gate, and dragged the corpse of the Orc through it.

Noxin was assessing the placement of a Blood Elf's Death Knight arm with a ruler. Although he didn't need to use the implement as one arm was clearly lower than the other. So much so that it would appear that Death Knight had a hunch. Noxin put the ruler down and sighed.
"I don't see it." Said Noxin apathetically. "If it were any more symmetrical it would look unnatural." The Blood Elf narrowed his eyes at Noxin and was about to protest to him but before he could do so Noxin spotted Orphyn dragging a corpse behind him. "OH, Orphyn! Yes I have been wondering where you were as we had that appointment."
Orphyn approached him and stopped still holding the Orc's leg before replying "We did not make an-"
Noxin cut him off grabbing his upper arm and leading him away and muttered to him gritting his teeth. "Shut up, shut up, shut up, don't be you for like... five minutes."
Orphyn followed along still dragging the Orc, silent for a few moments as they walked before asking. "...Who should be instead?"
Noxin sighed before pointing to a table. "Put the heart in that jar... I'll assume you'll be getting the Sin'Dorei heart soon as well. What is that?" Noxin now was staring at the Orc body whose blood left a trail through the Ebonhold's pristine stone floors.
Orphyn looked back at the body of the Orc he was dragging. "It's the body the heart came from."
Noxin closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I know what it is, I clearly mean why, why is it here? Why did you bring it here?"
Orphyn blinked slowly. "I want to bring it to my Inquisition. I wanted to use one of the spare coffins if I may."
Noxin tilted his head and rolled his eyes this time catching his eye that seemed to fall out when he did. "Yes, fine. I don't care why you want to bring it. Heart in the jar, now."
Orphyn dropped the Orc's leg before walking to the jar on the table and extracted the heart from his satchel bag and placing it in the Jar. Noxin put on a pair of engineering goggles and leaned close to examine the heart. He twisted the lens with his boney finger tips. "How enraged was he when you took out his heart?" Asked Noxin.
Orphyn replied, "He had the appearance of surprise on his face. However, he fought like a slathering beast." He said this in his same monotone.
Noxin smirked and cackled a little. "Fear makes them more malleable. So, from what I can see. This is a good specimen. A heart of rage will give you an advantage. You'll need to balance it though. So which ever Sin' Dorei's heart you choice should have a complimentary emotion, not opposing. It'll cause the heart to rip in half if it's opposing."
Orphyn nodded before responding, "What will compliment Rage?"
Noxin pulled off his goggles and turned to him. "Being married typically compliments it well." Noxin cackled at his joke. Orphyn merely stared at him, the humor obviously lost on him. Noxin's laugh wound down before returning to his normal sour look. "...Why do I even?" Orphyn just stared at him blinking slowly. Noxin snapped his fingers at Orphyn's face. "Hey! When someone is generally hilarious, you're supposed to laugh." Orphyn contorted his face to try and grin, and began to what appeared to be hyperventilating in an effort to make a laughing noise. Noxin stepped away unsettled. "Alright, alright, just stop. Put on your mask, it's laughing." Orphyn took his mask from his belt and placed it on his face, and looked at Noxin for approval. Noxin smiled awkwardly, "Yeah...much better." He then turned and pulled a book from a nearby shelf and opened it to what appeared to be a wheel graph with the emotional spectrum laid out. "Let's see now...Rage is here, and looks like Passion is your best bet. Find a Sin'Dorei with Passion. Which shouldn't be difficult at all. Don't say by your com-"
Orphyn interrupted him "By your command." He bowed and turned on one foot and made a paced walk to the flight master.
