A Bit Of Luck

*Before Syreena left on her journey to face Aleister, she would receive a package in the mail. Inside the package was a note, and something wrapped in a piece of cloth. The note read:
Syreena,
I think a lot of us Grim would be tempted to come with you on your journey. But like I said before, sometimes a person has to fight their demons on their own. I don't know how long you'll be gone, or how dangerous this will be. But even if you can't bring The Grim with you, maybe you can bring the next best thing. A little bit of memories, and a little bit of luck. I wish I could have kept the scope safe. I tried to fix it the best I could. And I know you use blades instead of a gun anyway. But you can still carry this with you as a trinket of good luck. I bet Mohan would be looking after you if he could, and so would a lot of us.

Carefully wrapped in the cloth was the remains of the scope. The lens of the scope was still shattered. Cracks spiderewebbed across it's surface, and some of the glass had fallen out. It was still bent and dented in places, but for the most part it had been repaired as much as Shaelie had been able to manage. But battered as it was, it was still recognizable as Mohan's scope.*
