Gutwrench, Chaindog's faithful wolf, looks up at her master. She is pleased to see her master happy again. She's not sure what has caused this happiness, but as long as her master is happy, that is all she cares.
Chaindog's return from the bank was successful. She only had to knife the banker goblin a couple of times for him to relinquish her Rhok'delar. Chaindog was never one for bribery, too human for her liking.
For the first time in a long time, she looks around her room in the Guild Hall. "Dis feels like home now." she says. She could have chosen the Guild Garrison, but the hall always seemed her thing. The freedom of coming and going as she pleased, particularly through the window was always source of the winds to her.
She goes about setting up her room. Her Rhok'delar above the door frame. She takes a moment to reflect on the now ineffective bow and how long and hard she fought for the bow. Finkle's skinner on the wall above her pillow. She sets her bed straight with her Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade as her night clothes. She chuckles at a memory where she was asked not to walk around the guildhall naked. She had chosen the tabard as mockery of the Scarlet Crusade.
She pulls the empty cask of grog from Bloodscream's stash out from under the table and sits upon it. She opens her pack and pulls out a fresh new book. She pulls an ink well out and begins to write:
Day 1. Happy day!
I had my first outing with the Grim in years. It wasn't much, but it was fun. It was fun to move that fast again. The warlock moves like lightning. I enjoyed the stampede we were, even over a few alliance. The fighter mostly managed to keep up. Lilliana needs to keep up. She did say she was tired though. Why was she talking to the carebear from Santuary? I'm glad I scared her off. I didn't want to offend the Grim there. I think they are a little weak on the stomach side and I am trying to not be such a loner anymore. I'd rather of gutted the pinky lover and made a rug out of her hide to wipe my feet anytime I felt like it. But... maybe some other time when they aren't looking. Why did Lilliana invite it anyway?
Speaking of Lilliana, I need to work on toughening her up some. She's a troll damn it. She sounds funny. Note: Half brother of Warneshi. She reminded me of that. I should see about tracking down the sword again. Maybe that will lead me to him. Could give it to her as a gift too. Maybe if she wields like her brother did, she'll be more troll again.
Big surprise today, Emmons returns. Fucking awesome! I finally have someone to reminisce with. I went hunting with him. Good times to be had. I forgot he likes to sap everything. I think he takes fun in it. Can't blame him really, as I would probably like to as well.
Syreena is still here. Good. She is the heart of the Grim I think. I remember when she was young. Not so much anymore, but that is good too. She is like family to me. A sister even if she isn't a troll.
I met Cen today, she seemed more interested in Gutwrench than me, but she is an elf. One I think I may like too. She's a bit odd. I said I was about to turn in for the day, and I was going to ask her if she wanted help to finish up what she was working on, but she just mounted up and left. Odd. I hope she is not offended at the misunderstanding. I gotta work on my communication.
I need to not be such an outsider.
Day 2. Quiet Day.
I woke up this morning and hardly anyone was around. I made the rounds in the jungle on my own. I think I did alright. The day isn't over yet though.
