Mandate Campaign: Piercing the Veil

Unread post by Ulrezaj »

In the heart of the Spires of Arak lies the sacred gem of the Arakkoa race: Veil Terokk. This foothold location, not too far east from Axefall, is where the Arakkoa tribes gather for their ritual incantations and shadow weaving. Despite the relatively tranquil environment and damp shade Veil Terokk provides in its subtle position along the edge of Skyreach's spire, the Alliance boldly sought to exploit the humble and tranquil environment by ruthlessly terrorizing travelling Horde bystanders doing simple trade and, most ignorantly, potentially luring attention from the Adherents of Rukhmar. The Mandate must uphold the neutral sovereignty of the Arakkoa race under Horde control or else the southern peninsula on Draenor could invite unsuspecting opponents seemingly undetected by traversing the many veils, especially with the remnant Shattered Hand Clan running rampant there. The solution: Peace through Annihilation!

From elegant, clear Zandali script written in Orcish, I, Ul-Rezaj the Scribe, shall provide you wit' a narrative by carefully inscribing these events for your appeal:

Lupinum was firs' to inform me o' de terror occurring wit'in Veil Terokk. He mentioned de travelers from wit'in de region were bein' senselessly diced up by a rogue out fo' mischief. At de time, ah was at a digsite workin' on a relatively useless archaeological find, so ah slept and received de calling from my hearthstone's echo a tad late. At dis, ah grew panicked, how long could dey have been submitting to Alliance attempts at control? Ah perceived someone must be made responsible wit' a swift and duly just judgment. Hearthing to Axefall, ah hastily took a flight oveh to de place in question.

Needless to say, de rogue fell wit'in a flash. Kerala, a Supplicant, observed wit' silence while Lupinum and I bore disguises o' de Arakkoa race and heckled at de terrible thought o' Alliance presence and vain attempts at renegade footholds. We proceeded to inform her 'bout de merits o' maintaining justice oveh vanity. Kerala be much wiseh den before de initial skirmish.

Meanwhile, Alliance forces launched an assault at Axefall, and de horns o' war beckoned fo' Lupinum, Kerala, and myself to be savin' dem, lest de Horde be losin' peons senselessly. Indeed, Arak proves yet again to be a wonderful site fo' my delegated laborers to be gatherin' up resources. Nonetheless, we put those fellehs down, and den patrolled and encountered some resistance from a stubborn Shaman who summoned de wind and de heat into a vicious firestorm supplied in de form o' maces. "GAH!" ah cried, "What do de rest o' us be doin'? GAAAAAAAAH!" De searin' o' flesh proved agonizing, but Kerala grew moss oveh my singed and open wounds to stop de bleedin. Ah'll recoveh soon.

Lupinum uttered words o' chastity at de Shaman. For dis, de shaman couldna handle but to think contemplatively 'bout his nasty deeds. My might returned to my body, but it came at de cost o' de Shaman's escape. We returned to Terokk and discovered densely packed Alliance forces. At dis, we left and came back wit' a couple more people, totaling five in all. Dese are de names o' dose present, de ones who suppressed de filthy titan-defects as soon as de call fo' all followehs o' de Mandate to adhere wit'out question o' hesitation to de comin' conflict:

1) Ul-Rezaj
2) Lupinum
3) Kerala
4) Malhavik

Wit' help from:

5) Kex'ti

Rushin' into Veil Terokk from de southbound fork in de road in between Axefall and Admiral Taylor's Garrison, de war party charged headlong into de clusteh o' Alliance forces. Bargin' into de scene, we bound up de arms o' a Pandaren Monk to keep him from offerin' his comrades any backrubs. Seekin' to make cleveh use o' old and new soulweavin' mechanics ah'd learned undeh de Farraki arts, ah withdrew de spirit from his bones and transferred de sense o' desperation into all o' de Alliance present. At dis, everyone from among de infidels felt de same sense o' anguish and desperation. De intensity grew thick, and den ah set my eyes on de most treacherous one o' dem all: de shaman. Wieldin' his sickening blend o' fire and wind, ah lifted up de shadowflames o' de incense pyre offered to Anzu, called to mind a most disastrous curse, and den uttered a sharp and to-de-point incantation straight at his conscience. De haunting flashes ah called into his mind left him fearful as he withered up and died. Pumpin' wit' adrenaline, my mind grew focused and intense as ah withdrew dis and created somethin' o' a communal disaster by weavin' soul, bone, and shadow as one into as many Alliance as possible until ah ran outta breath. Kex'ti ran about and punched anyone who attempted to bring forth any method o' mendin' right in de mouth. Good for him. Kerala made quick work o' any wound by forcefully growin' an' connected an unnatural amount o' flesh on wounds. Nearby Horde, who fell victim to de rogue's pickpocketin' earlieh, aided inadvertently by hackin' away and makin' demselves alternative targets. De res' o 'us who serve de Mandate channeled, swapped, and subdued until no more remained.

De Alliance fled in droves, but more appeared before us later on. Valindria and Ruuki joined to ensure our security and hold on de region. Ultimately, de deed had been complete afteh de major battle wit'in de veil, but de quick response times allowed us to maintain strength in numbehs thereby striking fear into de hearts and minds o' our enemies. We observed de uncountable dry bones while patrollin' de roads, although more straggleh Alliance appeared wit' time, no furtheh assaults be launched. Traversin' de lands, we stopped at de top o' de mountainside and watched a beautiful sunset. Veil Terokk fell silent. Peace came about through de Mandate's ordinance.
