Trail of Combat: Valgaz

Unread post by Valgaz »

In the dusk-filled tavern known as Wyvern’s Inn, a small well-dressed yet befouled monkey entered; tears filled his eyes, as he knew his mission went awry. Mild and timid as he may be, one knuckle dragged on the ground as the other tugged at a leash. Behind him, a large ape followed; itself dragging a large stone pedestal in tow.
With a few grunts, the smaller one signaled the other to leave the pedestal where it was: dug into the tavern floorboards and obscuring those within. The larger ape scurried off into places unknown, while the smaller one placed a small silver medal into the hands of the Grim representative. Before any questions could be asked, the monkey placed his hands on the pedestal, which activated it instantly.

A small Goblin, standing poise, yet had a stern demeanor about him, looked forward and spoke:

Dear High Inquisitor,
Please excuse my tardiness of this trial of combat, but one such as yourself knows how hard it is to record ones’ thoughts on such a thing, and brother, it took the titans millennia to discover this technology, but ol’ Valgaz here took three months, ain’t that a punch in the crotch of the old Gods?

*A small chimp was heard in the recording, and the Goblin moved back on point.*

Anyways, I will send this message to you with due haste in hopes that my companions here can manage to find you in time.

There will be more to come, I assure you.
*The message is signed, Valgaz Fizzletop, dated three months earlier.*

The representative eyed the small monkey and questioned the lateness of his entrance; the small ape pointed to a map that clearly pointed from the Vale towards orgrimmar; a large red line pointing towards the coordinates, but for some reason, there was a larger line that traveled many miles in the opposite direction, and what it was written in was questionable, but clearly smelled familiar.

"Supplicant,

I recognize your efforts, however tardy they may be. Your first trial is complete. Be warned that you will be required to complete your second task much more expeditiously.
