Trial of Resolve - Third Interview
((I have sat down with a handful of Grim members and learned about them, about their past, and gotten to know them.
I will now recant what I have learned about each individual, in my own words, sharing with you a little about their past before they where Grim, and who they are now, as Grim, and what the Mandate means to them, and what I have learned from them about the Mandate myself.))
Yemana the Guardian
Tauren Female Druid

I flew as fast as I could to meet Yemana at her retreat high in the mountains above the Red Rocks of Mulgore, I was in such a hurry because I'd gotten lost several times on the way to her...very secluded ...home, and didn't want to keep her waiting much longer.

I finally came to a quaint little hut shaded by a large tree and a blazing fire with a Tauren sitting near it, puffing slowly on a pipe. We greeted each other as we removed our helmets, I joined her next to the fire, sitting down as it warmed my side.

From the very start this Tauren struck me as being very proud and strong, but seemed to be distant and removed from other Tauren, and I was curious as to why, so I inquired, and she told me a little about her reasons and her past.

Before she was Grim-

Yemana's father was Hidua, a great seer of the Grim Totem clan, her mother was a member of the Rune Totem clan, and her parents had a brief but passionate relationship which resulted in Yemana. And being the offspring of a Grim Totem seer forced her to be distant from the rest of her people, as most Tauren view Grim Totems to be a radical threat and harsh zealous tribe.

As the Tauren went on with her tale, I prepared some food, offered some to Yemana who picked out a turkey leg, now smiling, and listening somewhat, I began to terrorize the remaining food. I never caught Yemana's mothers name; most likely because I was stuffing my face too hastily. I stopped eating for a moment and looked up at Yemana afer I noticed she had stopped speaking and realized she had only taken a single bite of her delicious looking turkey leg and was looking at me with rather widely opened eyes.

I looked around and realized I had managed to get more of the food on myself and the ground around me then in my mouth. I grunted, and brushed the food off myself and asked if she was going to eat the rest of her turkey leg. She snapped at me saying yes and continued with her story.

Yeamana had been raised among her mother's tribe, the Rune Totem clan, and having never met her father was inclined to search for him and his clan when she reached an appropriate age. In her travels she met Yichimet, a former Grim Totem seer, who introduced her to the Grim. Yemana wasn't ready to serve the Mandate yet, and didn't have any hate for Alliance at that time.

That all changed when Yemana came to find Thunderbluff attacked and decimated by the Alliance when she was heading into town for supplies. The smell of her burning people, the sight of slaughterer Tauren youth in the streets, and the raging fires quickly turned Yemana's neutrality of the Alliance into hated. She went in search of the Grim again, and claimed that she would serve the Mandate if the Grim would help her to protect her people.

As Grim-

As a Vanguard of the Grim, Yemana focuses on destroying external threats to the Grim and the world, but will still step in as often as needed to help vanquish Alliance foes as well.

Yemana focuses her attention to coordinating the assault teams and ensuring everything runs smoothly for the hunters. And will of course step in and help if the need arises.

--
I said my goodbyes to Yemana, picked up my food area, and mounted up and left with a wave, I made sure to grab my helmet that I had taken off earlier, also I reminded Yemana about her Helmet, she nodded and said she would be sure not to forget it.

I learned from Yemana that the Mandate must be served, but compassion cannot be lost to oneself while serving the Mandate, even in the most heated of battles.
