Trial of Combat - The Wakener Rises

Unread post by Korock »

~The air refills my lungs. I regain control of my self, and my body as the Blood Rage fades from my skin.
My pupils return to normal as my eyes quit burning from the bloodlust.
My thoughts return to the present, as the battle ends, and my sanity returns to the mortal plane that I inhabit.

As blood of the Grim's enemies cover my body and weapons, I recall the event that brought me to the Grim:

I carried the banner of another group of warriors, as I entered into battle alongside a slew of the Grim.
I fought with all my might, protecting fellow Horde members with the Elements, for in battle, we are all Horde, not simply Grim, or individuals. So even though my banner bore another's name, I fought with all the ferocity I could muster.

As I fought alongside the Grim and risked my life, and theirs in return for mine, I grew fond of the Grim, as they showed me kindness, prowess, and dedication the members of the banner I carried at that time had never shown.

After we rooted out and defeated the terrible Sha of Fear together deep inside the Terrace of the Endless Spring, I swore my fealty to the Banner of the Grim. And dedicated my existence to its members and beliefs.

I pledged and swore to use my powers of the Elements to protect and advance the Banner of the Grim in anyway that I could. That was my first step in assisting the Grim, the task of defeating the Sha of Fear.
Eradicating fear from our hearts and souls.

To my luck, the Grim saw something in me, perhaps it was the purging of Fear in my soul that allowed its most respective members to see worth in me, I do not know, but regardless, I asked the Grim if I could carry its banner to all reaches of Azeroth, and as a blessing to my prayers they accepted my plea, and allowed me into their Ranks.

Since then, I attempt to answer any call of any Grim that I can, fighting down to the bone to protect, and spread the name of the Grim to all.

As my soul slowly and irreversibly fades into the Twisting Nether, returning my spirit to the Elements, I fight for the Grim, and I will continue to fight, until I am nothing but a whisper in the wind, speaking of the might of the Horde, and the prowess of the Grim to any passerby who would listen to this fading soul.

[[OOC NOTE-Since I was part of Grim battles before I was in The Grim, I took an approach of "Recalling the Past" for my Trial of Combat, simply because these battles where important and exciting to me, and I recall them often]]
