A cold wind comes from the north and sweeps along the length of the Serpent's Spine. Between two of its watch towers, Awatu stands at the battlements and looks out over the Townlong Steppes. Smoke rises from a distant Yaungol camp, thick and dark against the gray clouds. It is no fire from wood, but from their burning oils. Perhaps they prepare for battle? Or perhaps the Shado-pan have disposed of the camp. An odd feeling crept into Awatu's heart. Regret. If only they were not so aggressive or if the Sha had not taken root in them, then perhaps they would be strong allies much like his Taunka cousins. But is no matter. They will learn and survive. Perhaps in the future, they will seek out the Horde as allies. He must admit that he was intrigued by their culture and wished to learn more, but those thoughts must wait for another time. A shadow, where one did not stand a moment before. Awatu snorts, but does not turn around. He knows who it is.
"Sometimes, I think you could have been a light-footed assassin over a Seer" he says, an odd amusement in his voice. He turns to face the elf and regards him for a moment. "The Warlock will be coming, yes?"
A Life for The Mandate
Re: A Life for The Mandate
A lone, unblinking eye watches the pair, its soft glow unseen to all as it lazily floats out in the open. Listing around them lazily, the eye taking in a final look before it dissipates, leaving no traces behind. A quick moment of disorientation as the familiar feeling of his own senses locking into place. Stretching out from his spot in the corner of the room, Felsyn grabs his staff as he quickly dusts himself off. With the others here now, he could finally stop waiting and... observing quietly from afar. Stepping briskly out of the small tower on the serpent's spine, measured steps bringing himself to the pair conversing idly. Relatively soft footfalls bringing him to them as he took his place behind the pair staring off the edge of the great wall.
"I hope I didn't keep keep you waiting for me too long." Bowing almost instinctively before he had even finished talking.

"You were lucky enough to have a friend who didn't mind getting her hands dirty on account of your best interest.
A friend with a chainsaw."
