Nine Out of Ten

Unread post by Pleiades »

Fellow Grim,

While this project is as yet uncompleted, I’d hate for the powers to be to think I’m remiss in my assigned duties. I have been tasked by my inquisitor with documenting the slaying of spellcasters from all the Alliance races, and I feel I have done so in ample numbers minus one dwarf. The following is merely a sample of my work; a collection of favorite moments, if you will. While I’m not much of a photographer, I do hope these convey a bit of the hostility that went into their creation.

First off is a hapless druid who just happened to be in the wrong place while I was touring the Alteracs.

The second night elf was cut down by me personally a total of four times in this particular defense of Tarren Mill. I have learned his face and make life in Northrend difficult for him whenever the chance arises.

In addition to the usual skirmishes in the Hillsbrad Foothills, I often find myself in a position to defend Hammerfall. This was the first of many humans to pay for killing our beloved flight master, Urda.

It seems I failed to get this fellow’s warrior friend in the picture, as well. Tried to jump me two on one while I was mining Fel Iron. I doubt they’ll try that again.

Not ten minutes later, a brave little warlock decides he wants a piece of this girl. Got more than he bargained for, I’d wager.

This picture is here simply because it was the only other solitary gnome-swatting I’ve managed to capture with my camera. They’re usually buried under all the bodies.

There really isn’t much in this world or the next that I enjoy more than catching an enemy unaware. Sleeping at a festival fire…..shameful.

This brave little squidling beat upon me with all her might trying to pierce my magical defenses. More tenacity and honor than I’ve seen from any of her so-called “betters”. Still, she dies like the rest.

“A dwarf!” I cried out and leapt from my dragon too quickly, thus injuring my ankle. I shrugged it off and blasted the little stunty out of his boots. This is the only dwarven caster I have seen in months of searching outside of the battlegrounds.

And here is where I idle in hopes that one day a creature of legend, a dwarven priest, will emerge from the tunnel and throw himself upon my blade.

Should I ever succeed in downing one of these dwarven priests, I will be sure to update this log.
"In the scope of the Universe, we are but a single breath. To say we're insignificant is to give us too much credit. But when the Universe chooses you to be part of its plan, you'd better hold on and take what you can get because your ride will surely be over before you know it!"―Gauldoth Half-Dead
