Thellash and his unusual "cousins" pt.1

Unread post by Thellash »

Thellash was raised in the orphanage in Brill with many forgotten children like himself. He was the only Blood Elf at the orphanage, and most of the children avoided him. Of the other children at the Brill Orphanage, three were close to Thellash.  Fallingstar was a young head-strong tauren who believed that Wisdom and Nature could solve all of lifes problems.  Disaray was a young troll with a talent for the arcane who fostered chaos wherever he went.  Valrik was a very sad story indeed.

Valrik was 17 when Thellash was first at the orphanage, but psychologically he was a mere boy.  When he became forsaken, Valrik reverted into childhood again due to the mental trauma. While older than the others, Valrik often acted like the youngest. As youth together in the orphanage Disaray and Valrik were always getting into trouble.  Disaray would cause as much chaos around the orphanage as he could.  He would switch ingredients in the kitchen, so the cook would fill a recipe with flour, and instead find powdered sugar.  With his reversion, Valrik also took anything he wanted regardless of the owner.  He was often found lurking in the shadows waiting to take something he desired.  A time or two it took strong intervention from both Thellash and Fallingstar to keep him from getting kicked out of the orphanage.

These activities may have alienated some, but these four boys felt there was something special about their friendship, and they looked out for one another. Thellash and Fallingstar were always attempting to get the other two out of trouble.  Thellash would take the blame for their actions and take the punishment, while Fallingstar would attempt to soothe over the situation finding the middle ground in most disputes.  Together these two were able to keep Valrik and Disaray alive and out of the stockades.  As young men these four thought they could grow up to rule the world together someday, with each imagining himself the ruler of his own race.  While they were getting older, each was growing up, and eventually they all grew apart.  One day, when the foursome was feeling the weight of their impending adulthood they made a pact to always stick together.  Sadly that pact was forgotten, and their childhood at the orphanage faded into the past as they moved on in the world.

It would take Kael'thas Sunstrider to bring them all together again.
