Emmons - May 7, 2006

The Dark Portal began to fizzle, eddies of energy whirling in the
dark abyss. A dark form emerged, soaked to the toes in an
oddly-scented goo, but it quickly collapsed on the pedastal
holding up the portal and its two silent watchmen. After a few
hours, carrion-feeders began to circle the corpse on the ground,
eyeing it hungrily, but as one swooped in to gorge itself, a
throwing dagger met it squarely between the eyes. Emmons Indiana
stood up, taking in his surroundings slowly. Yes, the portal was
still guarded by demons, those weren't a problem, he could slip
through unnoticed. He wondered exactly how long he had been gone,
knowing that beyond the relative order of Azeroth, time sometimes
did not behave as time should. Days could have passed, weeks,
months, years even; all he knew was that it seemed as though he
had spent an eternity, hopping from world to world ever since his
ill-planned impromptu expedition through the dark void, trying to
find his way back to Azeroth. He uttered to himself, "Now then,
if I were a Grim, where would I be...", and set his sights in the
direction of Stormwind...
