Hunting Harpies

Dimentia - April 14, 2006

Awakening in the Inn at Sun Rock Retreat Dimentia found her bones
to be much for difficult to move than usual, the tendons snapping
as she arose from her unusually long slumber and the desire for
blood insatiable. Striding out of the inn she quickly encountered
a Tauren seeking her assistance in killing harpies in the Charred
Vale. Ahh this would be a fine way for her to see blood spill!
Her rotting tounge licks what remains of her lips in anticipation
as she runs the long winding trail to the Charred Vale.

The harpies never saw the first fireball flying towards them. The
shrieks of pain were music to Dimentia's ears and only encouraged
her to continue her assault upon them. Their razor sharp claws
tore at her hair and flesh, but that only elicited a cackle and
she unleashed another wave of fire upon them. The smell of
burning feathers and flesh she was certain was strong in the air,
and she wished she could revel in its stench.

Suddenly, she caught sight of a long eared hunter out of the
corner of her eye. His reaction to the scent in the air caused
her great glee and she found herself giggling as she threw a
fireball at his head. His loyal cat immediately sprung into
action to protect its owner, but Dimentia didn't care much for
the animal - only to see this long ear dead by her hand. His cat
couldn't seem to keep its claws sunk into her rotted flesh and
she thought to herself yet another blessing of being forsaken.
Almost as quickly as the battle had begun the hunter lay in a
charred mass on the ground and his cat nowhere to be found. So
much for loyalty!

After admiring her handywork Dimentia turns back to the task at
hand.... Harpies.... Harpies....
