Sacrifice and Wilderness

Xoscyl - April 3, 2006

A great quake shook the earth below, as Taegol and Xoscyl soared
the open sky on their Wyverns. They could see the mountains move
and the trees rattle as they peered over their beasts' sides. The
winds spoke heavy with the news of the gates opening. It would be
a grand sight, they were sure.

Their Rite of Commitment had been done, and much blood soaked the
earth in sacrifice. They hoped the earth would drink heartily in
the rich, red liquid, and take faster to their union. Many of
their guildmates had ventured with them as they began their
sacrificing. With them banding together they were able to take
out many in both Astranaar and Darkshore. But that would not be
enough. The two now needed to venture deeper into the wilderness
and live off the lands. Many more sacrifices were to be made and
much time to spend with one another. When they come back out into
civilization, they shall be a changed people, and their
partnership shall be stronger than ever.

As they neared their destination they prepared themselves for
whatever might be out there. If the gates were to open this eve,
it might be the most treacherous venture they would face thus
far. Things would be different now. But none the less, with the
grim there to protect the world, they would not fear.
