Chavie and Marson: Bu Bat

Chavie - February 21, 2006

Chavie had to visit Bo Ter Mar Son to show off her new horse. He
was in a little room in Orgrimmar, writing a letter with his
fancy quill pen. His little imp wasn't around.

"He lo!" called Chavie cheerily, leaning into the room. "Kan a
kum in, Bo Ter Mar Son?"

He nodded without looking up at her. "Yes, Elder Sister of mine."
She walked in and went to look over his shoulder. He was writing
a "love" letter. "And to what do I owe the honor of this visit?"

"A sen yu a shir."

"Thank you, you're most kind." Then he didn't say anything, just
wrote on and on about his new lover's decaying lips and how he'd
like to nibble little pieces off and stuff. Chavie realized what
he was doing--he was trying to make Chavie break the silence.
Stupid power plays, she didn't care.

"A haf a has."

"Er... a house or a horse, sweet Sister?"

"Hor si wor si tor si, Jak-jak."

Marson sighed and set his quill down. He turned in his chair to
look at Chavie. "Stop that. That is the second time you've called
me that."

"Kal yu wa?"

"Jak-jak. The first was when I was drafting your application to
The Grim..."

"Yu mek tin sup, Mar Son." Chavie grinned and tugged on his
arm--not his writing arm, because she wasn't that mean. "Kum si
ma hor si!"

Marson didn't get up. "I think I would rather finish my letter."
He started finishing his letter. "What have you named it?"

"Bu Bat!" Chavie leaned against the wall behind Marson and
started braiding his hair.

"Bu Bat...?" Marson murmured. "And in the more common or pidgin
Wor Sa Fa Chal, that would be...?"

Chavie began unbraiding the braid. "Blu but."

"Clever."

"Yes."

"Who is Jack?"

"Mad Jak, hi sa Gim."

"Ah. Known him long?"

Chavie quietly took out her skinning knife and pretended to
continue braiding Marson's hair. Then, quickly, she hacked off a
chunk.

Marson yelped and stood, sending his chair clattering back into
Chavie. She bolted. "You did not just do what I think you
just..."

Chavie laughed as she ran, and hopped on Bu Bat just outside the
building where Marson lived. He probably wasn't going to chase
her, but she had to be sure. She made Bu Bat gallop to the flight
master. Brother Marson likely wouldn't talk to her for weeks. He
looked up to her as a spiritual leader, she knew that, but he
also kind of loathed her, and that made their relationship fun.

[Vuudu]

Vuudu steps off the Zepplin in Tristfall Glades. Taking off her
wide brimmed hat, she shakes her hair out in the stagnant air
rising from the land of the undead. As she walks down the
circular stairs from the tower, she smoothes her hair out and
replaces her hat firmly on her head.

She paces the cobblestone path leading to the throne room of
Undercity, glancing left and right to see if any Alliance are
trying to make the run to Scarlet Monestary. Seeing none around,
she walks through the gates into the ancient, crumbling
courtyard. Along the west wall, amidst the dingy merchant stands
and the young dueling Forsaken stands the stablemaster, dutifully
managing the mounts of people who prefer to walk the dank streets
of the Undercity. Next to each tethered beast is a sign, bearing
the animal's name and that of the owner.

Vuudu pauses, a sign catching her eye. She wanders closer,
squinting at the sloppy writing. While she cannot read the local
tongue, she can make out the name of the owner and of the beast:
Chavie, and "Bu Bat". Vuudu lets out a loud shriek of laughter,
and dashes into the Undercity, looking for her fishy valentine,
Chavie.
