Death of a Shaman
Wadjet - February 14, 2006
::A crumpled note, tear and blood stained note, found on the
floor of the guild hall::
My dearest Grims,
I am sorry. So very very sorry. But I cannot live with the shame
brought down upon my by Sir Kilrok Fel. His words struck deep and
too the core. Up until this time, only Mut shared my secret. A
secret that I kept to myself for fear of this shame that I know
feel. Since that night, all I can do is wander listlessly, and
cry myself to sleep. I can no longer go on. I need to move on
with the elements before I can be shamed any more. So, with this
in heart, I shall take my own life. So as to prevent the spread
of shame among my brothers and sisters. I will miss you all very
very much. I am sorry Mut. I am sorry Emmy. Just know, that I
loved you all.
~Wadjet
[Trilok]
*sits perched atop a cliff in the wetlands staring quietly into
the sky as tears drip from his fur*
*looking infront of him he speaks to what seems to be nothing
more than the wind* Let her know once more that I love her and
will miss her always.
*He stares once more into the skies above him*
[Warneshi]
*draws the sacred lines of passing in the sand set upon the
altar*
The Sandfury resspect you and watch you as you continue your
journey, slay in the worldss beyond our own, and a home in the
sacred after-templess of the Yeyewata alwayss await you...sisster
earth-speaker...sisster Grim.
Warneshi Sandscalp - King of the Sandfury Trolls - Tyrant of
Zul'Furak
[Lilliana]
Although the Grim has not seen Lilly this past week, she still
lurks the shadows. The news of Wadjet's death reached the young
priest's ears through the mouth of one of the Grim's lesser
members who had been sent to alert those within the ranks of the
loss of the great shaman.
It would seem that Lilly had lost much these last two weeks.
First Boggart, then her friend Zuru dissappears after a confusing
interaction on the streets of Orggrimar, and now Wadjet has left
their strong army.
Although Lilly had dedicated a great deal of her time harrassing
Wadjet (with grand schemes enacted with Boggart's help!), the
priest had great respect for the older shaman. Wadjet's loss
would impact the Grim. Lilly said her unholy prayers for the lost
shaman, and asked the spirits to lead Wadjet to a better place.
[Kesshi]
Her head bowed, eyeing the note she holds in both hands she reads
the note in its entirety, her face expressionless the entire
time. As the last of Wadjet's voice echo through her head she
looks above the paper, eyes ascending to the sky. She folds the
note, ever so carefully, and places it in her blouse.
Her words are soft and serious, "I know this is beyond my
abilities; it was self-inflicted."
She kneels, closing both eyes of the corpse with her hand, she
closes her eyes as well. "It is a forlorn day when a mother
outlives her daughter. And though I remain childless, you were
more a daughter to me than any I might bear in the future," she
speaks to the corpse. "More family than my siblings; you were a
friend as well."
A hand goes to the ground, to help her rise, and another to the
location of her chest where she has the note tucked away. After
she is fully erect, the hand that helped push her up cover the
other hand over the note.
Standing in slience, she inhales deeply, and exhales a sigh.
"Kilrok, although you were mentioned, I know it was not you alone
who could have provoked such tyrany in a mind as complex as
hers," She says, speaking to herself, "She was too stubborn to
let a single entity control, or even sway her. No. She mearly
used you as an excuse. I hold none responsable other than Wadjet
herself.
"I can accept what has become here. I can accept what has become
here. I can..." Her voice trails off as she walks away.
[Thrysta]
...
I will see her again...
When my Dark Lady's work is done.
Until then, I have much wrath to bring.
All are welcome to their share.
[Eelai]
I will burn a sacrifice in the Valley of Spirits so that you may
know comfort that we fight on while you watch over us with our
ancestors.
[Muatah]
*Muatahs face grows cold*
Someone will pay for this our loss.
That price will be paid in Blood.
[Hektar]
Hektar reads the note, then simply places it on the table, turns
around, and leaves the room.
[Emmons]
*v2 brings the note to Emmons*
A letter for me? Thank you.
*after reading it, the note slips from his hand, he stands up,
walks out of the tavern slowly, and in the direction of the
plaguelands...*
[Kregnar]
:After reading the note places it back on the table and smiles::
Wadjet.. You helped me cure my rage, you helped me find myself,
thank you Wadjet, thank you.
::Walks out of the guild hall with a new founded motivation::
[Lupen]
Lupen, hearing the rumours over the Hearthstone perched himself
atop a large hill in the Blasted Lands. With the blade of his
Soul Harvester, he carved a series of circles and runes in the
dark sand.
"Wadjet... Why...?" He asked while looking to the stormy sky, as
lightning struck an area no more than 30 yards from where he
stood.
"I... I will... Miss you." Lupen said while making a deep slice
in his left arm, letting the thick demon's blood drip down onto
the circle... Slow as molasses, dark as the nether itself.
Lupen sighed as he bandaged the wound and mounted his idling
Felsteed. The steed bucked as lightning hit the center of the
circle. "Thank you Wadjet... I know you are with the spirits."
[Zeelina]
Hearing the rumors Zeelina returns to the guild hall to see for
herself. Everyone there says Wadjet is dead after looking at a
piece of paper smeared with a little blood. Zeelina frowns, not
trusting meaningless scribbles to tell her the fate of a fellow
Grim. She checks her supplies before heading out, determined to
track down Wadjet’s body and bring her home one last time.
[Thrysta]
Wadjet is now with my three treasures.
I will send her more company.
Someone will fly for me on this night.
[Lascivious]
Coming across the lifeless form of the troll Wadget, Lascivious
picks up the scrap of paper and reads. When she is done she
wonders briefly what she is talking about, but then, she could
never understand what trolls were talking about.
Tossing the note away, she shrugged. Perhaps the meaning is
clear. Wadget was weak. A common trait among the living.
Lascivious pulled out her dagger.
I wonder what a troll's heart tastes like, she thought.
[Ela'Jinn]
*placing the letter down onto the table, Ela'Jinn wistfully wiped
his fingers clean on a spare peice of cloth he had hanging off
the side of the table. Picking up some runecloth, silk, and lace,
he continued sewing together his new garment idea.*
*sighing, he shook his head* "Killing oneself does seem to be a
new trend, Mista."
*He seemingly spoke to noone, but in the dark of the chair were
two red eyes, though they were very low on the chair, almost like
a gnome was sitting in the dark in front of him.*
"Perhaps it is a trend you should take up, Ela'Jinn." The voice
from the darkness said in a deep voice.
"Oh, no no, I couldn't..I musn't. I would bleed through my
dress." *sighing again, he looked up, remembering some of
Wadjet's better outfits.* "Oh, I so hope she didn't ruin that
forest green dress she wore to the party a few weeks ago. That
would be a waste of good material!"
The voice in the darkness sighed, as his deep red eyes closed.
"Sometimes, I wish decaptitation would have killed me."
[Ravovich]
*Ravovich stalks through the woods with a small white Kitten at
his side*
"You see? Like this!"
*The kitten just purrs and rubs up against him*
*Shifting back to his Tauren shape he picks up the Kitten*
"Listen little one. You were to be a gift to Wadjet, and now that
she is gone temporarily, you need to make her spirit happy and
learn to be a good hunter."
*The kitten simply looked into Rav's troubled eyes and purred*
"I will unleash you rage little one. You too shall see that youth
and joy are fleeting and the kill is true joy"
*Rav shifted into his cat form once again and began his lessons
anew*
[Taurs]
*Jaw drops in shock when the word reached his ears. Then nods
slowly, knowing he had sensed Wadjet not being her normal self
for a while lately. Kneels down by her grave and speaks im
undertones*
"There is a time for living and a time for just moving on. You
chose to walk on a different plane."
*Places the crown ripped from the Princess of Mauradon on top of
the grave and then walks off, leaving Wadjet to her cold lonely
grave spot..*
[Guduk]
*after reading the letter, Guduk wanders over to his Kodo and
gives its muzzles a pat* 'A gift from Wadjet i will always
charish, i wish it was not my only thing to remind me of her' *he
signs and drops his hand... moves to mount the Kodo and looks
around* 'Then i shall find another way to remember her' *he rides
off towards the battlefields*
[Thrysta]
Lascivious dear, know this...
If that dagger touches Wadjet's flesh, I will find Sammuel.
I will make sure we are alone.
I will smile.
I will apologize to him.
And then I will take him apart, piece by piece...
I will personally watch over the RAS as they add each ravaged bit
of him to a different Abomination.
And then you can be with your sibling lover each time you pass
one of their putrid, drooling carcasses.
Or, you can just sheath your blade.
