The Rage has Ended

Kregnar - February 1, 2006

(continues from A Shaman's Journey into Darkness)

Kregnar was not the same. He is now filled with rage and power.
Tainted with the very evil that Mannoroth once bestowed upon
them. It was not long till Kregnar was off finding more power to
weild and people to crush.

One night in the Burning Steppes, Kregnar, along with his wolf
Swiftpaw, was searching for more power to obtain. With many
alliance prowling around Kregnar was in the right place. As he
run along the orge compound he found a small thorium vein in
which he needed to mine. As he slew the orges to get to vein, a
valuable pattern had dropped on the ground. Kregnar picked it up
but had no use for it and with that activated his hearthstone.

::drops the pattern on the ground:: "I have no need for this but
I bet one of you weaklings do so just take it"

No answer...

"Well thats just too bad" ::stomps on the pattern::

With that came a reply. It was Trilok. From there the fight raged
on between Kregnar and Trilok. No matter what Trilok said,
Kregnar knew he had the power and even with Trilok questioning
it, Kregnar was not fazed. Wadjet then stood in. As Kregnar still
was not fazed by anything they said Wadjet demanded a fight.

"Why do you wish to end your life so quickly dear Wadjet, even I
thought you were smarter than that"

But nothing Kregnar said stopped Wadjet from backing out. The
duel was set outside the Undercity. He saw Wadjet waiting
already, and it was only a matter of time before the duel
started. Kregnar demonstrated his power and crushed Wadjet in a
matter of seconds. With Wadjet on the brink of death Kregnar
walked up to Wadjet.

"Time for the killing blow"

Kregnar lifted his great axe into the air and was ready to swing,
but he could not. He looked down and saw Wadjet crying. Tears
were running down her face. Even if Kregnar tried he could not
swing the axe for the killing blow. He was shaking. The axe
dropped to the ground as did Kregnar's knees. He did not
understand why he could not do it. Wadjet looked back up at
Kregnar.

"Kreggy"

Kregnar had never shed a tear since the death of his father,
untill now. The last tint of red dissapeared from his eyes.

"Stand up"

And so Kregnar did

"Now give me a hug"

Wadjet had helped Kregnar realise, it is not pure strength that
wins the fight. Friends give you more power than anything.

As Kregnar looked up he saw Trilok and Regnanetah. They all were
there. The very friends Kregnar once regected. All standing by
his side. It was all over. But what about Hektar, will he return
to his normal self or stay in the darkness that consumed him as
it did to Kregnar. Hektar.....
