*written in large hatch marked writing*

It's been two days since my encounter with Abric and Licidion
Stinker in Freewind Post.

One day since Cernya found me in Splintertree. I need to be wary
of that one. Though she did show a marked concern for my love of
the drink, she was more interested in how my new hoof was
faring.. She asked me to touch her scythe.. she put it on my bite
mark and it was hot like holding an ember. Though I would not
show it, I was shocked that such a weapon could be so fiery to
the touch.. nothing I've ever encountered before. What was worse,
she placed the blade on my other hand and my reaction was the
same, but amplified. I pulled my hand away quickly and told her
it "burned a little" and hoped it would be enough.

Ceryna told me some things.. things I will no doubt be
researching on my own.. However, when a guildmate tells you
decapitation is your only salvation.. one starts to doubt the
ties that bind. Maybe I will speak to a few others in my House.
The ones who don't know me so well.. Pincus...Frain..
Laughingcrow... Hektar. I will admit, The Grim are getting nosey.

This wound will not heal. Seeping almost constantly now. As soon
as one bandange is soiled, it is replaced by another, to be
replaced by another.. and another. I will have to start my search
for mageweave in earnest soon if I cannot get this under control.

I took a trip to Moonglade first thing this morning. I wanted to
talk to that idiot elf, Starblaze.. see what his thoughts on the
matter were. I told him I was bitten in the graveyard in
Duskwood.. though I think he read right through that ruse.

He did not seem overly concerned with the condition of my hand,
nor the fact that the hair all around it is starting to fall
out.. I am positive he is getting a deep satisfaction from my
suffering, though he is doing well at keeping it veiled. I cannot
wait until I kill him.. he will regret every word that ever
dripped from his mouth towards me when I am finished with him..

Down to my last bandage now.. I can barely close my hand from the
swelling and pain. Luckily, I got some new gloves and they cover
it..

Poor Licidion.. how I hate him and worry for him at the same
time..

[Licidion]

As the goblin finished reading the stolen journal entry,
Licidion's hands began to rub over one another, bits of decayed
flesh falling from the back of his hand onto the cold stone
flooring of the tower he was resting in.

"Good...good.." he muttered deeply, his empty eye sockets covered
by the rotting lids.

"Write this down, Goblin." he said, as the translator began to
write the words into a tangible format.

"To whom it may concern,

I hear the Royal Apothocary Society is still researching a new
plague which could be spread in mass quantities. While I am sure
you are seeking something much more grand, like an air-born
disease, I am sure you will be interested in the results I have
concocted.

I wish for you to take a study of the one they call Snowfeather.
I am certain Maledictus will provide you with her, being as his
ties with you are so strong. She has been infected with what
could be a suitable replacement disease, which could be spread
with viral tendancies through wounds created by the weilder of
the toxin.

Even if our enemies are strong, one small nick or bite, and they
would succumb to the effects of the toxin within a certain amount
of time, depending on the hieght, weight, and sturdiness of the
individual. They may die, or rise again as forsaken or scourge,
thus placing our troops behind enemy lines without them even
knowing. Even if they do become Scourge, I am certain you will
agree that the destruction of the alliance will outweigh a few
scourge to clean up in the aftermath.

The one they call Snowfeather is a Tauren, and might not succumb
to this disease too quickly. This will give you ample time to
study it's effects, and how its end result may please you."

A twitch of his neck. Suddenly, his body began to convulse, as a
shallow, trembling voice came from the back of his throat.

"Save her...! Cure the disease! Sa----ve----"

After a moment, the convulsions stopped, as he ran his hands over
his forhead. "Strike that from the letter. And then finish it
with - Sincerely, Licidion the Grave."

Watching the Goblin seal the envelope, he began to talk to
himself.

*Journal Entry*

Starblaze is a fool. I showed him the progression of the
infection tonight.

My bare skin is showing midway across the back of my hand now.
Just removing the bandages peels off more skin and white fluff...

The hand is almost useless now. Bending at the wrist is nearly
impossible... and I am starting to have some tinges of pain in my
armpit.

Amazingly, I haven't drank much today. Only once when that damned
Mallix started in on me about my drinking...been dry all day and
night since.

I stare at this festering mess almost constantly now. Licidion
does have a nice set of teeth.. pity he decided to make true on
his jests to "eat me". Almost looks like a flower..

Starblaze told me to cleanse the wound. The water there is the
purest. I added some acorn seeds and some sansan to the water.
Stripped down to nothing and got in. The water was warm. Helped
me not think about all... *unreadable scratches*

Tried to wash my hand clean and think of what I can try if this
fails..

Turned around to get out and dress...

Trilok was there... sitting at the edge of the basin as a lion.
He said not a word and just stared at me. He said nothing the
entire night... very odd.

I am going to have to keep better tabs on my guildmates.. this
proves it.

I was ... very inapproapriately dressed. What he saw, he said
nothing. Let us hope he keeps it that way.. My mother would kill
me if she found out.. I would be punished unmerciful for allowing
him ..any man to see me in that state.

Trilok left shortly thereafter chasing after some trouble. I
started my search in the tomes. If the Druids can't help me.. ..

the page*
