A warlock flickers into view
Qoz - November 30, 2005
Sitting in the tavern, you see the form of Qoz flicker into view,
surrounded by a haze of red. The haze fades, and the corpse
begins to look about the room. His blue flesh appears torn,
hanging loosely from his skeletal form, and he tugs at his tongue
in a manner that could be described as 'nervous'.
He notes you, and upon seeing your tabard, his lip curls. "Ah,
good. A Grim. I need you to deliver a message of sorts." His
claws click together, and he continues. "The Nether, you see, is
an ugly place. Full of unsavory demons and creatures, most of
them fairly angry at warlocks for practicing our arts."
The warlock's glowing eyes narrow. "And I was pulled there, you
see. Apparently, I had irritated enough demons that they decided
to...return the favor, so to speak."
"Mind, my own demons did their best to protect me. But despite
their quality, well, quantity, you know. I've been overrun for
some time. Zangnar, that magnificent blue blob, has managed to
buy me a bit of time. Tough bastard, he is."
Qoz sighs, and shakes his well-preserved hair. "This, however, is
the problem. He's only bought me a bit of time, and I'll be
pulled back to the Nether soon enough. Back to the clawing, and
the scratching..."
After rocking back and forth in place for a few moments, Qoz
gazes at you with earnest. "Tell Maledictus that I have not
forgotten our cause, but that I am merely...delayed, at the
moment. Tell Ceryna that I am proud of her progress in the arts
of Demonology, and am eager to see further accomplishments from
her. Tell Abric that no, I am not dead. And someone find
Shongaqu, before he goes and does something rash, please."
Another red mist begins to surround the warlock. "Thank you,
Grim. I appreciate your aid." he mutters. Qoz throws back his
head, vanishing into the mist.
The mist dissipates, and again, you sit alone.
((Just trying to provide some IC explanation as to my lengthy
absence. In short, I've had a nasty case of pneumonia. While I'm
not at active risk of dying, I'm not yet fully recovered. Combine
this with finals-time at college, followed by a family vacation,
and yeah...I'm going to be sparse.
But I have not forgotten, and I assure you all, I -will- be back!
