The Picnic
Lascivious - November 28, 2005
Lascivious sat astride Sam enjoying the sunshine and warmth of
the day. It was bright and sunny in the Hinterlands. It was one
of those days when the grass seemed greener, the sky blue and the
sparkling moonkin feathers dotting the ground seemed sparklier.
Reigning in Sam at particularly sunny hillside spot, she tethered
him to a tree and sat in the cool grass. Taking out some food she
began to eat. Suddenly, a loud ruckus echoed throughout the
trees. Could she describe the ruckus? No. So she stood up and
moved down the hill.
Ah. It was that mage she had seen earlier wearing the tabard of
the Blades of Loraedon. Being the kind person she was, she had
spared the hapless softy and continued on her way. But she seemed
to be in trouble with one of the wolves, perhaps she could be of
assistance. Since Alliance were so soft and all.
Then she noticed another figure. Armored and shiny in the
beautiful, gleaming sunlight. This one she knew. The holy demon,
Seras. Ah. She seems to have everything under control. Sitting
back down, Lascivious began to eat her lunch. Looking up she saw
Seras running up the hill toward her.
Oh, she must be coming to say hello! Lascivious started to raise
her hand to wave - CRASH! The holy demon’s hammer thudded into
her head!
What’s this! Attacked while enjoying a simple meal?!, On this
beautiful day?! In this lovely forest?! Enjoying the wonderful
view?! Alliance dogs! Heartless monsters! Betrayers! Why would
she be so foolish to think her kindness and compassion would be
returned?!
Although she was developing into a formidable warrior, Lascivious
was still a child at heart and once again was victim to her own
naivety!
She defended herself the best she could, the demon had upper hand
and Seras’ wounds seemed to heal even as Lascivious struck at
her, trying to defend herself from the creatures unrighteous
rage! Soon Lascivious was lying on the ground. Her vision began
to fade as she stared at her picnic basket, it’s contents spilled
upon the ground.
Oh, she thought as darkness began to claim her. I so wanted to
try that spider sausage.
