After The Rain Settles ((Round Robin Collaboration))

The night sky was dark this night, the moon sit hidden behind the clouds and the stars seemed dim and dull. The ground was still wet from the day’s rain; it’s scent wafting up to greet the nose of any that ventured out this eve. The water’s surface lay still, placid and calm. There was no breeze this night. Not a leaf floated on the cool air. It would seem it would be a peaceful night. Though that was not the plan of those who waited just outside of Orgrimmar. A lone torch shone brightly in the dark shadows, marching forward with purpose. Where they were headed, there would be much excitement.

((Round robin time. Thought this might be an interesting thing to do. Someone continue the story a little bit and let another take over. Some interesting things come from this sort of style.))

The large, monsterous figure stood atop a hill just outside the city of orcs, a cape moving to and fro as the thing barked orders at those below. "Move comrades! Faster! March forth!" It yelled, a staff of fire in one hand, whip in the other.

The gargantuine hunk of metal loomed over those that stood bellow. The final adjustments were made, it was finished, and they were prepared.

The large figure strode forward, using his mass and the whip to move the smaller figures out of the way. He reached the machine and opened a door on the side. Then reaching under his cloak he pulled forth a large burning red sphere...

With eyes aflame and a wicked smirk upon his face, he tossed the sphere into the opening and slammed the door shut. Sheilding his eyes he made distance between himself and his minion's creation, which was starting to shine brighter and brighter. With a final Burst of red burning light, the metalic beast arose to life. Several of the minions who had stayed too close below staggered, blind and burned. Some were crushed under foot as the Creation stirred and move about.

Grukzu, an Orc soldier, was on top the walled gates of Orgrimmar, stuck with the night watch. For the past hour, he had heard strange sounds in the distance, almost like those one would hear in an engineer's shop. Concerned, he had called for his Captain. "What is it Gruk?” His captain asked. "I hear som-" Gruk was cut short, for suddenly, a great flash of red light exploded into existence on the horizon, then was snuffed out. Both the captain and Gruk whipped around in the direction that the light came from, both of them perfectly still, straining there eyes and ears, trying to sense something in the darkness ahead. It was then that they heard a great rumbling, and a massive shadow started to rise from behind a hilltop. Terror gripped the two for they realized, whatever it was, it was coming closer.

The Massive mechanical being continues its march towards the city walls of Orgrimmar, not caring for the army behind it, nor the stray, foolish minions which manage to get caught under its crushing steps.
