Grim Views

The title gives the biggest detail away - elimination style board game battle. Instead of relying on an MMO and a few hours to dedicate a day... why not do something that can be done in under an hour with a competitive edge to it?

My initial thought on this is something simple; like Chess - and allowing people to compete in a tournament style bracket. Those who have to play together will get together to play the game, then whoever wins will progress to the next group. Eventually, two will battle... one will win... and that person can lord it over the rest of us in a jolly fashion of their choice.

While Chess is the example, enough interest shown in the poll can progress us to something else. Something free - as we do not want to single out anyone unable to pay those dollar bills - or Canadian monopoly money.

Let me know what you think. If you have game suggestions, you'll give them anyway, but I'm looking more to interest than content... FOR NOW!

I can do Hearthstone as well. Chess and Go? Nope. Although Ascension on Apple I hear is pretty fun. Waiting for it to come out on Android

Btw Sentinels of the Multiverse is an awesome co op card game. I highly recommend it.

How would this work? Hearthstone I understand is online like Magic the Gathering, but everything else I'm a little lost.

Hearthstone would be appropriate. I used to be mediumly bad at chess and would play that again.

I would be all in for Hearthstone, since I want to check it out anyway.

For once, something Krin says is 100% factual. Sentinels is easily my favorite non-video game right now.

When is Hearthstone supposed to be out?

They're dropping a monster patch very soon, which will wipe all current data. Beyond that, I think it's down to the Blizz trademark of "Soon".

As for the idea ... I like it, but I don't know how you intend on working it? Chess I can easily imagine; there's numerous ways to play chess online with others. Beyond that? I'm lost.

Ten is going to be my magical number. If I get ten people who are interested (a Yes or Maybe) then I will be your light in the darkness!
