History Before The Grim: Kogrona was born in an Orcish internment camp in the Alterac mountains shortly after the defeat of Orgrim Doomhammer and the rest of the Horde. While she spent her early childhood growing up in the camp, after only a few years, her family, along with the other Orcs in the camps, were freed by Thrall and followed him as their new Warchief. Eventually, Kogrona's family settled in Durotar, along with the rest of the Horde.
Kogrona had an adventurous spirit, even as a youth. This got her into trouble. A marauding pirate vessel attacked the shore of Durotar, where Kogrona happened to be wandering at the time. She was taken aboard, first as a prisoner, but then as a fellow pirate. This is where she spent the rest of her youth, nearly a decade. During her stay, she learned much about combat, thievery, and how to survive in a dangerous world. The ship was later destroyed by the Alliance Navy. (Note, there are a great many details that have been left out of this account. Exactly what happened to Kogrona is unknown, as she has never spoken of it to anyone. It was several months after the ships had been reported destroyed before she was heard from again. Her whereabouts during that period of time are a mystery, known only to her.)
Over the next few years, Kogrona reestablished contact with the Horde and honed her skills as a thief, scout, assassin, and general rogue. The re-opening of the Dark Portal, the return of the Lich King, the Cataclysm caused by Deathwing, all these things occurred during this period of time. Kogrona has used most of her skills in order to further her own goals, which mostly seem to consist of acquiring wealth and frustrating Alliance war efforts wherever she can.
