History before The Grim: Brishen grew up as the son of a former priest, Dravin Grey. His father Dravin having left the church, had no marketable skill he could offer to teach his son, other than how to talk to people. So Brishen frequently found himself picking pockets, stealing from houses, and mastering social persuasion to get things he wanted. Even when he was caught, he was generally good and talking his way out of things, but better at sneaking away.

Being a former priest, Dravin greatly frowned upon how Brishen made his living. They both held resentment toward each other, and had a very distant relationship. However, they did have one trait in common...

Both men, Brishen and Dravin, were both loving husbands, married young. This was the reason his father had to leave the church, and is the reason he felt obligated to resurrect Brishon's wife when she died of sickness. However when he attempted this, he had gone further from the light than he had realized, and was not fully successful. Brishon's wife did rise, but she wasn't healed, or even alive.

They managed to hide her in the chapel basement, thanks to Dravin's hesitant, old friends. Brishen was able to stay with her in the chapel for only a day or two before he had to leave her in the trust of his fathers friends, while he went to get supply's to sneak her out. They couldn't stay there forever hoping she would get better... Unfortunately when he returned, she was lying on the bed completely lifeless once again.

The grieving husband broke down to his knees and warped his arms around her neck as rested his head on her and wept. As he sat up he ran his fingers along her neck and felt something strange. A narrow and wide slit at the base of her neck. She had been stabbed, and murdered for what she had become.

This drove Brishen mad. He felt betrayed by his father and the clergy he trusted. He now despised the church, the light, and everything that humanity claimed to stand for. In his despair, he took his own life drinking a vile of poison.

His father, honestly not knowing who had attacked Brishen's wife, was devastated by guilt. He refused to let his son go. Dravin knew that he had lost his ability to bring people back to life, but he could still bring his son back. He could give him a chance to find the murderer that took his wife from him again. So he did the unthinkable, and resurrected his son as an enemy of The Alliance.

Dravin took Brishen to a distant graveyard and performed his resurrection. As Brishen slowly came to his senses and started trying to work his muscles again, he could remember nothing. Still unable to see properly, he could only make out the voice and silhouette of the man stroking his hair. The man spoke to him saying "You are now... Born again dead".

After being resurrected without his memory, Brishen spent years introducing himself as Bornagaind. Thats was all the voice told him of who he was. He spent his early years as a newly risen fighting with The Tarren Mill Militia. However as a new forsaken his hate for all living grew daily. During that time it only took minor convincing, he was a chosen being to serve the will of the old gods.

He left Tarren Mill, and joined ways with the Twilight Hammer Cult. He followed them for months, acting as one of they're spies. His loyalties came to an end one day while group of them were gathered and left alone, waiting for they're profit. The group, including Brishen, felt abandoned by the cult, and decided to go they're own way as a much smaller band, together.

Having invested so much trust and hope in the Twilight Hammer, to be forgotten so easily made it easy for him to move on. This small group fell apart quickly, as none of them were true leaders. Simply a pack of followers united with no cause.

Feeling defeated in every way possible, Brishen hid, and pretended to sleep. He hid for years, and let time pass. It was about a year ago when he was awaken by curiosity. A sent. Something he never smelt before crossed his nose. Pandarians, they called them.

Upon awaking, he has decided to try to make use of his second life again. He banded with The Army of the Undead, in the service of the horde. He made friends and allies with-in the Army and enjoyed they're combat focus. However his love for ending the living, became overpowered by his desire to find his own history.

He became obsessed with finding who he used to be, why he died and how he was brought back. Eventually he needed to find who killed his undead wife, and father for Bringing Brishen back. Now having found his history, Brishen's bloodlust and hate for humanity, has been renewed!

Brishen lives in the alliance capital he once called home. He does so, to find all he wants to know. It was while he was snooping threw files in Stormwind's SI:7 files, that he repeatedly noticed the name of an organization called "The Grim". The terror they caused on The Alliance's elite thrilled him. Brishen became determined to join ways with this organization.

Now living in The Alliance's shadow, Brishen hides amongst the corpses in the chapel basement, when he's not blending in with the living. Brishen finds everything he sets his mind to find... One way, or an other. He finds what he needs to know, and he makes sure he knows how to kill it.

History with The Grim: As a supplicant that lives in Stormwind, Brishen was taken in with great suspicion. He decided to play it safe and send a letter of explanation regarding his absence, after spending a month strait digging for information in Stormwind. Now regarded with even more suspicion, he is looked upon to prove his loyalties more than other supplicants.
