Full Name: Araun
Titles or Nicknames: Araun
Age: 50s (or your elvish equivalent of early 20s - "college age")
Race: Blood Elf
Gender: Male
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Fel-green
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 135lbs
Notable Physical Features: Araun is kind of a waif. Some people don't notice, because his presence - the iron-clad confidence with which he carries himself - tends to make him seem intimidating. Plus like most priests he's usually wearing some kind of egregious billowing robe. Still - for an elf he is kind of short and thin.
Place of residence: Itinerant.
Place of Birth: Unknown.
Known Relatives: None.
Religion/Philosophy: Araun keeps his motivations to himself for the most part. He originally joined The Grim claiming to have seen visions of a terrible apocalypse - one which has since come and gone (although it wasn't quite the apocalypse they were expecting). What drives him now is difficult to divine.
Occupation: None.
Guild Rank: Dreadweaver.
Known Associates: None.
Known Nemesis: Araun dislikes dragons, especially green dragons. Figuring out exactly who his enemies are, however, would require knowing what side he is on in the first place.
Special Skills: Araun doesn't have any special abilities beyond his Priest spells.
Positive Personality Traits: None.
Negative Personality Traits: Psychotic, sadistic, a compulsive liar, uncaring, mocking, utterly without shame or self-doubt. Araun is not here to help. He is here to twist the knife.
History Before The Grim:
Araun speaks in circles and riddles when asked about his past. What's presumed is: twenty years ago he joined a branch of the Twilight's Hammer known as the Maw of the Maelstrom - a monastic order in service to N'Zoth specifically. Well, as much as you can serve a god that speaks only in maddening nightmares. Their goal was more than just the return of the old gods: it was their return, in a situation where N'Zoth would emerge supreme over his dark brothers. To this end, Araun and others were dispatched to help foil the other gods' plans, to delay them until N'Zoth was ready to unleash his own cataclysm. And so Araun came to The Grim, just as Yogg'Saron stirred in the depths of Ulduar.
History In The Grim:
Few trust Araun, although he has carefully remained within the rules (or at least, he has kept his misbehaviour out of sight). He is not particularly dangerous, and his strange outbursts often make him seem ridiculous - although it is foolish to underestimate him, and that is perhaps his goal.
After the Cataclysm, he disappeared for over a year, and it was presumed that he died. It wasn't until after the Twilight's Hammer was finally broken that he returned, having apparently been in hiding from his former masters after turning against them. With the Hammer destroyed, Deathwing dead and N'Zoth's plan foiled, Araun is at last free to do as he pleases - and so, he has chosen to walk among The Grim.
But then, you shouldn't believe anything you hear about the Araun. Especially if he's the one speaking.
