Traejan Lightrend

Unread post by Traejan »

Full Name: Traejan Lightrend
Titles or Nicknames: Lord of House Lightrend
Age: Adult
Race: Sin'dorei
Gender: Male
Hair: Pale Blue
Eyes: Lichfire blue
Height: 198 cm / 6'6"
Weight: 82 kg / 180 lbs
Notable Physical Features:
- Traejan is missing his left arm, the limb having been replaced by something that is quite obviously a marriage of necromancy and engineering. Wearing armour over it is unnecessary, given that metal has been grafted to the flesh and bone itself.
- Though usually hidden beneath armour or clothing, Traejan has runes all over his body, carved into each limb and along his spine. His minions and constructs bear near identical runes with the same placement.

Place of residence: Eversong Woods
Place of Birth: Eversong Woods
Known Relatives:
- Eridanus Lightrend ( father, deceased )
- Imrinde Redmorn ( mother, deceased )
- Telarion Lightrend ( younger brother, alive - Illidari )
- Tarin Lightrend ( younger sister, alive - currently somewhere in Pandaria ? )

Religion/Philosophy: Beyond the Mandate, Traejan follows no particular religion or philosophy on his own. If he believes in anything it would simply be an eye for an eye, though how closely he might follow that rule tends to vary. He is easily as petty as some would say elves are capable of being and other times might be willing to let things go.. depending on the slight. Beyond that he believes in making a good profit and having a good time -- he has been compared to a goblin on more than one occasion.

Occupation: Engineer, Ghoulcrafter
Guild Rank: Supplicant
Known Associates:
Telarion Lightrend - his brother, an Illidari, who currently resides in their same family manor. When asked if he would be willing to kill Telarion in order to perhaps satisfy the requirements of his Trial of Sacrifice, Traejan mentioned that he would be willing to do so despite his affection for his brother but would find it a waste of a Horde soldier in doing so.
Hyun'lan Redmorn - a distant cousin on his mother's side. Currently serves alongside the Grim with Traejan's monetary support as a backing.
Known Nemesis: The Alliance, particularly the Kaldorei and the Ren'dorei

Special Skills:
- Advanced necromancy and fleshcrafting expertise, advanced engineering skill particularly in the realm of explosives.
- The constructs that share his runes are treated less as pets or minions and more as a direct extension of his own self, which is why he is often irritated if they are asked to leave the area. He benefits from their shared senses and power but at the risk posed when you are directly linked to something else that can be injured or destroyed.
- Though he doesn't tend to reveal it, Traejan has something of a working relationship with a swarm of plague insects he houses within his.. person. They enjoy the benefit of a source of energy and in turn he has some amount of control over them, aiding him in battle as well as in tracking beyond his own senses and the senses of his constructs.
Positive Personality Traits: Clever, resourceful, creative, loyal, dedicated.
Negative Personality Traits: Competitive, rarely serious, prone to being overly aggressive or brutal in battle.

History Before The Grim:
[ Traejan's history is quite long and even in a summary will require a bit more work for details! ]

Traejan was born into the House Lightrend, which through the marriage of his parents formed a union of two very old and powerful noble Houses. Following an accident in his youth that left him with a respiratory affliction that would trouble him until his death, he was originally passed over as the heir while his brother was groomed by their father to assume the role. While this created some considerable tension between Traejan and his father, he did not mind the lack of that responsibilty terribly. Instead, he focused on specialised training thanks to a family friend, determined to overcome his weakness and serve.

He fell to the Scourge in defence of Quel'thalas and was raised as a death knight, working for some time within Icecrown. This was where he gained his expertise in necromancy and during his time with the Scourge contributed to the legion of undead horrors. He did feel some amount of strange gratitude to the Lich King for being restored to unlife as well as a sense of freedom from the things that had burdened him while he was alive. As such, he fully embraces what he is and everything that goes along with it.

Over a progression of many years he changed much in how he viewed himself and found new purpose, which radically changed how he behaved outwardly. He came to serve the Horde at first purely for the profit and a renewed sense of pride for his people and then slowly created new bonds, growing rather fond of his work with the Forsaken.

History In The Grim:
Traejan sought the Grim as he found what he learned of the Mandate and those who follow it to be in line with his own sense of things. Since his time with the Grim he has found allies that he has found himself impressed with and people he felt he could trust in battle -- which is a good start. Working with the Grim means a new and greater purpose beyond what his work with the Forsaken afforded him.
