(Last Updated — 13 Feb 2019)

Full Name: Laeynna Emberflame
Titles or Nicknames: 'Lae' - (To family and those with the audacity to call her friend.)
Aliases: Rani Goldheart
Age: Mid-60s

Race: Sin'dorei
Gender: Female
Hair: Blue Black (Naturally white blonde) - probably too long
Eyes: Fel Green - as fel as you can yet
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 100 lbs
Notable Physical Features: Pallid/Ashen Skin, Gaunt (in spite of this, she looks younger than she is)

Place of residence: N/A (Lae is very much of the vagabond sort.)
Place of Birth: Goldenmist
Known Relatives:
Tanith Emberflame - Father / (Deceased)
Liri Emberflame - Mother / (Deceased)
Zalla Emberflame - Sister / (Deceased)

Religion/Philosophy:
Laeynna was raised to show a certain reverence to the divinity of the Holy Light, however following the Fall of Quel'thalas, she believed the Light had forsaken her people and renounced her devotion.

A staunch supporter of Kael'thas Sunstrider, she could not fully disagree with his actions (though supported the reasoning behind them), but perhaps found the execution questionable. She would like to see the Sin'dorei continue a restoration toward prior glory they once held before the Reign of Chaos. Although she herself is diplomatic and even loyal to the concept of the Horde, she personally believes the Sin'dorei could one day benefit more to focus on their own progression as a people above that of the joined causes of the Horde.

She finds a reflection of herself in Sylvanas Windrunner's mode of execution and in the messages the Banshee Queen sends to allies and enemies alike.

Occupation: Botanist
Guild Rank: Warbringer

Special Skills:
She is knowledgeable with salves, poultices, and poisons. (Also A+ at stitching.) Laeynna also has a history of consorting and relying on pacts with demons, though as the years have dwindled (for obvious reasons) on, this happenstance has become rare and infrequent. Exception being in moments of required self-defence.

Positive Personality Traits: Diplomatic, devoted / loyal, of good intention, sarcastic, attentive
Negative Personality Traits: Secretive, selfish, sarcastic, distrusting, wary [to a fault] / paranoid

Notable Affiliations:
Oralech: If it weren't for him, Laeynna wouldn't be living. It's simple as that. Oralech was a soldier who rescued Laeynna during the Third War after Zalla perished. They reunited off and on for the years to come and during the rebellion against Garrosh Hellscream, when Oralech had been gravely wounded, Laeynna nursed him back to health. With their debts each respectively repaid, they parted amicably. — At least, until Oralech joined the ranks of the Grim at Laeynna's suggestion. He now serves as Laeynna's retainer in his spare time.

History Before The Grim:
Laeynna's family raised her with the intention that she present herself to the priesthood and live a life of some divine cause. She was fully content and prepared to do this until her people suffered at the hands of the Scourge. Believing it was to ensure the survival of her family's future, her parents urged Laeynna and her older sister, Zalla, to take leave of Goldenmist in an effort to find safe refuge. Zalla perished shortly after their departure, due to injury complications and Laeynna's lack of knowledge to better treat her. Believing that her people, as a whole, had been abandoned by divinity, Laeynna chose to turn her back on the priesthood and all it had claimed to represent.

Without known family to rely on, Laeynna turned to what she thought was the closest thing to a suitable replacement. Her studies of darker magic brought her toward the Void and consorting with demons as a means of protecting herself where she believed she had little alternative. In years that followed, she initially fooled herself into thinking that the pacts created with her demons were equivalent to that of the family from her past. This led to her being convinced that the only worthy presence was a demonic one, consequently causing her to largely isolate herself from society. As a result, she evolved into a person largely paranoid in the presence of others, obsessively distrusting, and more oft than not, unwelcoming.

The growing presence and prominent ill reputation of warlocks, demons, and all such things encompassed eventually spilled over into what seemed undeniable. That such things were not meant to be trifled with and Laeynna had spent years lying to herself rather than facing the inevitable truth of reality. She would either perish much like her kin, or she would push forward, even in the face of adversity. Choosing to accept her fate, Laeynna opted to reserve her studies and warlock abilities as a last resort and in an attempt to discover herself, took to frequent travelling.

...Which would go on to lead to the present...
