Gnitch was "adopted" by the Bilgewater Cartel. He has no family that he knows of.

His original ship was named “Calamity” and it sank when it hit a whale while heading out to sea from the Bilgewater Harbor. He salvaged as many pieces as possible and created his new ship “Flotsam.”

Known Associates: He met Lilliana and Aderlee in Orgrimmar once. After a short conversation, they all went separate ways but the friendship was established. Now that Gnitch has spoken with Khorvis, in Gnitch's mind...they are very close pals.
Known Nemesis: Gallywix. Gnitch resents the goblin for enslaving him and would like nothing more than to shoot Gallywix between the eyes.
Special Skills: He is an inventor/engineer. Usually he creates things that go BOOM. Some are supposed to…others aren’t.
Positive Personality Traits: He’s outgoing and could probably con an eskimo out of his coat in the middle of winter.
Negative Personality Traits: He never shuts up. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but what he lacks in smarts, he more than makes up for with goblin ingenuity.
History Before The Grim:
Gnitch was "adopted" and raised by the Bilgewater Cartel. Just before the beginning of the Second War, Gnitch had finally grown enough to move powder kegs. Gallywix had been waiting for this moment and immediately assigned the young goblin to a destroyer as a powder monkey. Gnitch's younger years were spent below decks in the midst of a war.
Gnitch fit his role on the ship very well. His small size and tenacity made him the perfect powder monkey. Since Gnitch spent most of this time below deck, he had plenty of opportunities to learn about the inner workings of the ship. He learned what made it work, what held it together and ultimately, what would take it apart. After spending a few years in service to the Cartel, Gnitch was promoted to Gunner's Mate. This is where he honed his powder mixing skills and perfected the art of "BOOM."
The following years held no promotions and only provided Gnitch with empty promises from the Captain. Gnitch finally decided it was time to remove the problem from the ship. One evening, while everyone was asleep, Gnitch went to work placing explosive charges around the captain's quarters. When the next battle erupted, Gnitch lit the fuse to the charges and blew the captain's room, and the captain, completely out the back of the ship. The move crippled the ship, but provided the opportunity that Gnitch was looking for.
Gnitch assumed the role of Captain and, with his closest mates beside him, took control of the ship. It was a small scale mutiny that would prove fruitful for all of the crew. Gnitch made a promise to the crew and he delivered. The crew would share in the booty they salvaged while out at sea and provide just enough back to the cartel to not raise suspicion. In return, the crew never let the cartel know that the real Captain was dead. There was always an excuse as to why the Captain wasn't at the cartel meetings. Luckily, noone has caught on...yet.
Gnitch has spent the majority of his life at sea and would like nothing more than to continue taking the fight to the alliance on land. While at port, he caught wind of a group of individuals that was spearheading the fight for the horde. The group was more fanatical and dedicated to the elimination of the alliance than any Gnitch had heard of. The little goblin, decided that's where he wanted to be. He could bring to the cause his knowledge of explosives and surely, with a little help, he could learn to be a deadly force on the battlefield. The search to meet The Grim was on.
History In The Grim:
A chance meeting with Aderlee and Lilliana provided Gnitch with a time and place for an initial meeting with The Grim. It was to be They called it and inquisition. Gnitch call it opportunity. The meeting was cut short due to constant alliance attacks. It took multiple attempts to finally meet Khorvis, the big yelling orc, but Gnitch knew he was the one he had to make friends with if he was going to get into this organization.
