History Before The Grim:

Ryanica was born to a hunter father and shaman mother. Her mother tried to get her into the Shaman arts but Ryanica was very close to her father and chose the hunter path instead. Her sister, Jiya, chose the path of a priestess. Ryanica and her sister had a very difficult relationship with their mother growing up. Their mother slowly went insane ever since the girls' births. She would fall into deep bouts of depression and lash out at times, and then would be loving and caring. The other trolls blamed it on bad mojo and voodoo. Ryanica ventured out on her own at a young age after she had tamed her first pet, a raptor. She heeded the words and wisdom of her father but could never shake the disapproving words of her mother from her mind. She learned to survive in the harsh weather of the world, listening to the beasts of the earth and crafting her arrows. Upon arriving in Orgrimmar and training with dozens of other hunters, she met the troll rogue Jez'ri and the two became very close.

Years later, Jiya sent word to Ryanica that their mother was in grave danger and begged Ryanica to return home. When she arrived, their father informed them that their mother was missing, and the two sisters set off to find her. The shaman had left many marks in her angry wake, huge boulders were blown to pebbles and hills were parted in two. After many days, Ryanica and Jiya found their mother in the ruins of Zul'gurub, attempting to contact Hakkar the Soulflayer. Trying to stop her, the sisters pulled her away from the alter. Their angry mother attacked her daughters with an intent to kill. Ryanica refused to lay a hand on her mother, jumping away from the elemental blasts and pushing her aside with her bow. When they had finally wounded their mother, she had come to her senses long enough to tell her daughters to slay her. Ryanica and Jiya wouldn't, but her mother was fighting with demons who were trying to gain control of the shaman again. She was going back and forth on her personalities, telling her daughters to end her life once and for all. Finally, the two sisters knew what they had to do. Jiya reflected the shaman's spells back on her, and Ryanica shot an arrow straight to the heart. When the madness stopped, and all the dust cleared, their father stood a few feet away. He had seen the whole thing.

Ryanica and Jiya were taken back to the village, but what had happened grieved their father so much, he couldn't bear to look at anything that reminded him of it. He left early one morning and took his boat. No one ever saw him again. Jiya was also grief-strucken, and could never forgive herself for what she did. Her mind wandered to darkness. She let go of the holy arts, and turned to the shadow ways. She was last seen heading to the Zul'gurub ruins.

History In The Grim:

After what happened to her family, Ryanica returned to Orgrimmar and dedicated herself to the hunt. After Jez'ri joined the Grim and told Ryanica about the Mandate, Ryanica was very interested. She had grown to hate the Alliance and took great pride in slaying them when they came about her territory. She frequently went on mission to the Gulch and Basin and proved her tenacity in killing. She at first had a hard time fitting in the Grim, and she had to learn to deal with blood elves and undead and working with them. After several months, she lead the Grim into the Caverns of Time, where they learned of the great past battles with Illidan Stormrage, Kil'jaeden and many other foes. After a few missions, she was promoted to Inquisitor. She is eager to serve the Mandate further.
