Grim Application For Memnokh
How did you hear about The Grim?
- I heard about The Grim on the Twisting Nether World of Warcraft Forums.
What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
- I have a lot of experience with internet forums, and frequent them often. Mostly involving World of Warcraft and Original Dungeons & Dragons (Dragonsfoot, ODD74, Knights & Knaves, The Comeback Inn, etc.).
What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- I have been role-playing for over 30 years. I am a fan of both Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson (I was very sad of them both passing), I do have to admit however that I am a much bigger fan of Dave Arneson (I believe that he was the driving force behind OD&D, but, not given the credit).
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
- I have role-playing experience playing all types of alignments, including Lawful Evil.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
- I have been apart of many guilds and servers in World of Warcraft, having played for many years (off and on), I enjoy being part of a good guild as well as an active server. This will be my first experience on a RP-PVP however, having recently returned to the game. The driving force of me staying on a server and/or guild will be the people whom I play and interact with.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
- I work a lot and can only maintain one main, I plan to make Memnokh my main.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
- My expectations from the The Grim align with The Grim's focuses: Action orientated role-playing, World PvP, BGs, raiding end-game content, and in general being a malcontent.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
- I enjoy healing classes, having played a Restoration Shaman main for many years, but this will be my first Cleric main. I have been playing on line MMO games for many years: Started on my Commodore 64 playing on Q-Link (before it became AOL) on Neverwinter Nights, moved on to Ultima Online, Ever Quest, Dark Age of Camelot, and finally coming here.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
- Much like my PvE experiences, I enjoy playing healing classes. I am not an expert by any measure with PvP, but, I learn quickly.
