Grim Application For Drinn
How did you hear about The Grim?
-
I was a member of the Grim a few years back, and was even the PVP officer for a time. Recently I met up with Atticus and he was kind enough to invite me to the Grim's RBGs.
What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
- I'm a lurker. I love forums and I love reading a good story. I tend to check the ones I'm involved with every day or two.
What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- I would consider myself a seasoned RPer. While at times it's like pulling to teeth to get me to write long stories, I excel at face to face and love anything reaction based.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
- As previously mentioned, I have had previous experience with the Grim. I have no desire to play a fluffanutter carebear, playing the villain is what it's all about. Who doesn't love a good antagonist?
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
- My first toon was a member of Simple Math on Andorhal. SM was and still is a heavy raiding guild. I left because I started Drinn on Twisting Nether and she quickly became my main. They're good people who harass me on facebook ever so often.
The Grim was the guild I remember most fondly, even after silliness ensued and I ended up hanging my up tabard.
After the Grim I went on to play other games and later ended up moving overseas where I took a break from MMOs for about three years.
When I returned to WoW I joined Dawn of Ruin on Ravenholdt (now disbanded) hoping to find RP. When RP was not found I joined the raiding guild Anarchy Rising. AR is a great guild and I still keep in touch with their members, however, without a RP and PvP element I was unfulfilled and decided to transfer back to Twisting Nether.
Currently I'm a member of Kibbles and Crits which is a very small guild with very few active players. The GM extended the invite for guild perks as a place holder until I found a better fit.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
- Nope, just Drinn.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim. What aspect of the game, if any, do you wish to focus on?
- PvP, RP and more PvP. I never had a more genuinely good time than when rolling with the Grim and hold some of the older members and adventures near and dear to my nerdy little heart. I'd love to continue the story and grind a few HKs in the process.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
- Raiding is not something I focus on. I do have a PvE set and I do occasionally do dungeons, and flex when a spot needs to be filled.
Prior to BC I raided rather heavily on a hunter but haven't touched the class in years.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
- PvP? Yes, please! Currently Drinn is my only level 90 so rogue-ing it up is what I do.
I run regular RBGs and arenas. I don't focus heavily on rating because I enjoy playing with friends and if they need a carry or a FC then I'm happy to be there.
Currently I am a trinket shy of full Grievous and run with the Stone Guard title.
As far as other games, I was the GM of a RP-PvP Guild in Warhammer.
Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
- I have read all the guidelines.
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
- I'm a graphic designer and run on a very beastly Macbook Pro made for graphics. As long as I'm not running Photoshop and Illustrator while on WoW I have little to no problem.
Sometimes my area gets hit with tropical storms but so far the internet has stayed strong.
Provide an armory link to your character.

Do you have anything further to add?
I play Roller Derby on the weekends.
