Grim Application For Kordin
How did you hear about The Grim?
I was the officer in charge of PVP for The Grim around 2008, under the name Atticuss. After a couple months of that, I stepped down from the job, finding that managing other players just isn’t for me. Then frustration over the state of pvp in WoW, as well as some IC drama that spilled OOC, led some friends and I to bail out and try other games. Some of my fondest memories of WoW come from my time with the Grim, though, and I’d really love to get back in and play with folks like Abric and Syreena.
What experience do you have with internet forums? Do you check them frequently or infrequently?
I’ve had plenty of experience with internet forums and I’m apt to check them a few times a week.
What sort of role-playing experience do you have? Would you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I have roleplayed as a member and officer of the Grim. I’d consider myself very experienced.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
My character, Atticuss, was so dedicated to wiping out the alliance that he was chosen to be “The Hand” of The Grim
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
Well, after leaving The Grim for a bit of a walkabout, I was drawn back into the game and spent some time with other guilds; most notably, The Syndicate (http://www.llts.org/) which is one of the more recognizable guilds in all of gaming. After that, I joined Teh Fail on Zul ‘Jin, just because a lot of my friends were there. WoW’s waning popularity sorta killed the guild and I haven’t been playing much for the past year.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
I intend to make this toon my main, but I have several other higher-level characters available to transfer if I feel so inclined. I just haven’t played for so long, I feel like I don’t know how to play my dudes. I figured I’d start with a new one, build from the ground up. Here are my other guys…

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
I raided regularly during WotLK, earning The Kingslayer title. I have played as a healer and DPS in raids, and as a tank in 5-mans. I’m most comfortable as a DPSer – and here is where I really excel. I can become an obsessive min-maxer. I skipped the end-game of Cata, but I’d love to see what’s waiting for me at the end of Pandaria.

I had a lot of experience in PVP during BC, (have I mentioned I was The Hand?). After that, though, I became infatuated with PvE, and it has become my dominant interest in WoW. I’ll still throw down in some BG’s, occasionally, but it’s been a long time since I stealthed around SW ganking people.
What is your regular World of Warcraft play schedule? If your answer is "anytime", "flexible", or some other vague word please describe why.
Nights and weekends. It varies from semester to semester. Right now, I’m not available at all during Thursdays.
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
WoW is a dinosaur and my rig can handle it without even spinning up the fans. Also I have a fiber optic connection.
