Alustrielle

(IC) What name or title do you go by?
- To those under whom I was raised, I was called Alustrielle, and naturally respond to it.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
- I am a female sin'dorei.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
- My path was righteously set before me as a spiritual channel. I was called upon by the Divine to forge His will in all things, whether mystical or mundane.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
- I have just shy of ten thousand recorded.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
- As I said in my letter, I am hoping to benefit from your presence more than anything. You intrigue me, and I would beg of the Almighty to rain down fortune on you and vengeance on your enemies.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
- I spent my childhood in a monastery, tending to the monks, cleaning chamberpots and changing linens. My adult life has been more...eventful. I have studied much, but the few deeds to my name are hardly noteworthy.
(IC) What are your thoughts of the new direction the Horde has taken since the Cataclysm?
- I try to keep my mind distanced from politics. My philosophy of life allows me to be at once completely apathetic and furiously vengeful.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
- I used to play on this server a long time ago, and I'm just getting back from a 2-year hiatus, actually. I know the Guild from pre-BC and I am amazed (and happy) that you're still around. I know what your role-playing expectations are like, and I've been looking for an outlet for some creative writing. It means that I'll be expected to exercise those parts of my brain, and that means a great deal to me.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by a structure with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. Does this definition conflict with how you want to play your character? If it does, how do you expect to handle the conflict with other members?
- My character is more interested in heavenly morality and so views the acts of "mortals" as interesting but ultimately secondary. Whether or not she's unbalanced in her convictions and beliefs is something that will be developed, but I do not see any major conflicts arising.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- I used to RP quite often, but I was young and stupid, and I've grown up a great deal in the last few years. I know most of the rules and I know the expectations, so I'm not very worried.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently? If so, what was your previous server and/or in-game name?
- N/A
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
- I'm looking for a group of active people to converse with. I came back to MMOs for the sake of interacting with people -- most of whom start as strangers. It's an invigorating experience that I'm excited to get back into, and The Grim is a place where I expect to find some mature, interesting people to share the game with.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Ashenfury.
- I have classes Mon-Thu, but I play most evenings (short of Tuesdays where I only get home at 9:00pm server time). Other than that, if I'm not travelling, weekends and most nights are fair game.
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
- Although I'm a huge fan of the franchise, I'm not a huge fan of taking names directly from it. This character was originally my brother's, so please don't hastily judge me for the plagiarised Salvatore!
Other than that, I might need some rehabilitation in regards to anything major that happened during Wrath or Cata. I don't mean that so much in a lore sense as in new things (Mastery, Transmog, etc.). They're all a bit new, but I promise that I learn very quickly and am quite intrigued by the notion of Peace through Annihilation.
