(IC) What name or title do you go by?
-I was known as Alekander Mikhail Andro, former General of the Korkron Vanguard. Many things have changed, many new battlefields have been opened, and many new threats have been made. The time for pragmatism on a grand scale is over. You may call me Mik or Alek, whichever you prefer.

(IC) What is your gender and race?
-Formerly I was human with a family.. my son, my daughter, and my wife all fell to the plague. I moved on only to fall at the hands of the Legion at the Battle of Mount Hyjal. It is a long story, but now I am undead.

(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
-In life, I was a paladin in the service of the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Then the plague hit, my family fell. I moved on… by pretending they never existed at all. It is a long story, but through many battles, undeath, more battles, trials and fools errands, I was fooled right into a trap in Northrend. I served the Lich King at one point, as a Death Knight. Through luck, and force of will… I am free once more to serve. I am a Death Knight, in service of the Horde.

(IC) How would you describe yourself?
-I believe I rose as a Revenant after falling to the Legion at the Battle of Mount Hyjal. I could be wrong, however I believe in my fury and anguish at the world, for it took so much from me, I rose to fight that which would threaten life once again around the time of the opening of the Dark Portal. As a result, I am not forsaken: I am very much undead, however I am not quite as rotten as the rest of the undead that serve the Horde… yet anyway, as the plague played no great part in my undeath. I believe it was the force of my will… and perhaps a great deal of alcohol. Who knows? I just try to stay as clean and presentable as is possible for an undead like myself.

(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
-Currently, four hundred and two. I am enlisted under a different name now, for the Horde without Thrall’s leadership no longer recognizes the existence of, “Alekander.” However, I can tell you that I have my records for how many honorable kills I achieved before my forced service to the Lich King, and those numbered over at least two thousand before I went mad.

(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
-Justice. There are many threats to those with a beating heart. I will vanquish them all, even if those threats I must vanquish also have beating hearts. If Varian wants war, I will bring it to him, and he will regret ever declaring it. I will shove the bodies of his people down his throat if that is what it takes. Sometimes, brutality teaches the best lessons.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
- After training to become a blademaster in the service of Thrall’s New Horde, it was requested that I lead a brand new organization known as, “The Korkron Vanguard.” We once raided Alliance cities together, and if memory serves me correctly, I even met with Abric himself during my time as a blademaster and as, “The General,” of the Korkron Vanguard in an effort to pursue an alleigence between the two organizations. However, we did not last. Someone foolish decided they would play tricks upon my mind, and the memories of my family whom fell to the plague were altered and something made me believe that I would find them alive in Northrend. I had to save them, and I never did, because I never found them in Northrend. I searched ever crevice, crack, and undead corpse for them until I was captured by the scourge, and forced into service as a Death Knight in attacks upon the Scarlet fools. I rationalize to myself that at least my service as a slave to the Lich King resulted in tens of thousands of deaths of extreme zealots who would threaten the Horde, and eventually led to a weakening of the Lich King as he lost many of his Death Knights.

(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
-It is a pragmatic one that which serves the greatest use to the greatest number of people. One which Varian violated and I will personally crush him for. For blood and honor: for fool’s heads and justice rightly deserved.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
- It means that no matter what, I am in character. Whether I am speaking in battlegrounds chat in a cross server battle.. or questing out in the field. I will be honest, I have slipped here and there, but when I represent an organization, whether it be in game or in the real world, I take it very seriously. So as a member of the Grim, I would never break full immersion and the perception of the Grim as heavy RPers will only continue when people see me charge the line screaming battle. I love RP, but what I love more than that is RP-PvP and even RP-PvE, though not quite as seriously as I take RP-PvP.

(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
- At this point in the progression of my character, it only makes perfect sense that in Grim times, he would join the Grim. His hatred of Varian far surpasses the hatred he ever had for Staghelm and the other leaders of the Alliance. The only conflict might be a passing urge to give a select few of paladins a proper burial, but that urge would pass quickly as in his zen he already has his sword or halberd in his next victim’s throat. Old habits die hard, and even as a Death Knight, Alekander still brings a certain amount of blade master bravado and style to the field. As he charges the field in service and duty, he shouts encouragement with a thundering voice that never seemed to be afflicted by rot and decay as much as it was his becoming a Death Knight. While he is ambitious, he also fully understands the rules of chain of commands and just as he wouldn’t accept a chain of command breaking down under his command, he won’t allow himself or others to break it in the Grim. He is loyal, determined, and even as a death knight, righteous and bold.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
-Ernest Gary Gygax comes to me for advice on how to roleplay. No. Not quite. Though, I have been roleplaying since RP UMS matches in Starcraft I and Warcraft III, and before that, I was writing stories on forums with other people. I have been roleplaying since the summer after WoW came out, and was an original on Twisting Nether. At one point I was Zusteakai the troll hunter in the FWBH, and later I returned with a guild project known as the Korkron Vanguard, which I advertised and marketed to every single other RP-RP-PvP server out there, and then we once again found Twisting Nether to naturally be the best place for RP-PvP guilds. I have a little experience, in other words.

(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
-All the above. I don’t miss the Alliance. Much. On the other hand, sometimes I want to exterminate every Worgen I come across. Recently I found out that they (the people of Gilneas in general) want to exterminate all orcs… and with my character’s back story, he should know the culture of Gilneas, and wouldn’t be happy to see them join the Alliance; he is very much assimilated into orcish culture, as much as a dead human Revenant/Berserker/death knight could be anyway.

(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
-No. However, the character it was based upon was a server transfer to TN. Mikhailan and Alekander are one in the same as far as characters goes. Mikhailan is just the Death Knight result of an Alekander that went missing.

(OOC) Is this an alt of a current full Grim member? If so, what full member?
-Nope.

(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
-I expect heavy RP. I expect RP-PvP, PvP, RP-PvE and PvE. I also expect that with, “The Grim,” under my name, instead of the Alliance talking in local defense about a random Horde guy killing people, they’ll be talking about a member of the Grim. Smiley Face. Haha.

(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Xondor.
-Ohh this sounds like a cool idea/guild concept. I should have done something like this with the KKV. Well, basically my play time is unpredictable. I am a college kid, with a love for parties, my girlfriend, and almost a full time job. However, I try to play at least a little bit every night around 7pm to 3am.. and if that doesn’t happen, it’s typically because either I am working until 10pm that night, at a party, or am spending the night on the town with my girlfriend or at her place catching Z’s. It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in, and I love her to pieces; mainly because she is a super gorgeous, intelligent woman with her sanity. I think that means I better hold on to this one.

(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.
-http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/t ... n/advanced
I take pride in making my character look like a bad ass while still having the best gear I can get. Tell me what you think?
- Also, I am sure you all already know what a revenant is. Sometimes there is a lore question in me bringing such concepts into the game, as they are already in the game and mostly refer to elemental revenants. However, I have seen similar concepts used in Blizzards own lore, and more over, I have seen other RPers use the concept on other servers as well in a way to avoid having an undead character that ever swore allegiance to the Forsaken at all. So I use the definition of revenant found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenant_%28fiction%29 ... and it works pretty well. It allows me keep the door open on Alekander's back story. At any moment I could shift it around maybe just a little bit or not at all and suddenly have a mysterious and powerful mage come into the picture and be the real reason Alekander rose out of his grave. For now, though, I am letting Alekander believe in his, "will," to rise for his, "goal," to destroy the Burning Legions and, "all threats to those of a beating heart," or life on Azeroth.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
- These are grim times. Before, I was a pragmatist. I advocated warfare, yes, but with the eventual goal of peace through conquering. I wanted to conquer the alliance, and then show them the errors of their ways, show them that life is precious: I wanted to show them that together we were stronger and could defeat our common enemies together if we united in a real political way. … Now, I know better. Now, I know that with leaders like Varian and Alliance governments in the way, with racist pigs in the way, that there would be no peace. I now recognize that no matter how many times we cut the head off the snake, it is still a snake, and it must burn. We shall make them burn. We shall show them fire. Peace. Through. Annihilation!
