(IC) What name or title do you go by?
Murkla
(IC) What is your gender and race?
-I am a female Forsaken.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
- I have just begun my studies as a priestess and am serving the Dark Lady with vigor. My
people have been abandoned by the light. The Alliance is opposed to my very existence and I will
do anything, including sacrifice my own needs to bring demise upon my enemies.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
- I am tired. I feel bitter and the person I once was fades from my memory each day. My
anger over the losses my family has suffered sometimes overrides any logic I possess. I have
become comfortable in my loneliness.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
They have not yet managed to record my deeds. I am confident that I will crush my enemies
with ruthlessness. When enemies get in my way I will crush them. Every lesson I take with my
trainers is a means to that end.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
- I am driven by wanting to seek justice for the wrongs put upon my people. , The Horde has
some laudable goals but the Grim's Mandate is action oriented and more focused, and in my
opinion, better suited to blighting the threats upon the Horde, Forsaken among them. I can put
aside my own personal desires to serve a worthy cause. I learn quickly. I aid my own allies in
order to achieve the objectives that will serve us all.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
I am young and not heavily schooled in the ways of the world, but I have been immersed in
the training to become a worthy healer of my allies and deadly opponent of my enemies.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
- It is childlike. Thrall's nostalgia for his childhood perhaps impedes his judgement. Orcs
and humans will never coincide in peace.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members.
What does that mean to you?
- It is exciting to me that the opportunity to roleplay exists in WoW. my primary RP
experience has come from text RPGs (I know, I'm old.) I'd heard from players there that good
roleplay doesn't exist on WoW. As I read more of the lore of Warcraft and of the groups of people
committed to exploring lore, I see that that statement isn't true at all. I'm a bit intimidated
by learning the history, culture, and customs as a new player, but comfortable roleplaying and
keeping in character.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of
command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your
character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how
you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of
joining us?
- My character doesn't see herself as inherently evil, but reconciles her evil acts as
necessary and just. She believes in the need of order and laws in order to achieve goals that she
believes will benefit herself and the people she believes in. For these reasons I think The Grim
would be an excellent fit for my character.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider
yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
- As previously stated, I have role-playing experience online in a text-based RPG that I
played for several years. I don't consider myself a beginner at all in the realm of roleplaying,
but I am rather new to the lore of World of Warcraft.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers,
Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
-I have played WoW casually for a few months at a time off and on. I have dabbled in
playing instances and enjoy PVP, and I have tried both alliance and horde factions. I've tried a
few guilds along the way, which were social/leveling guilds.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
- Nope!
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the
guild?
- What I always missed was the community that I found in the previous roleplaying game I
played. So for that reason I want to go in the direction of immersing myself into the world of
WoW more fully in a RP sense - giving my character a richer experience and connecting with others
who are like-minded. I want to have fun and explore this well developed game with others who want
to immerse themselves in it like I do.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get
into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair
approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep
it private, send a PM to Aquizit.
- My daytime play is erratic. I am usually available after 8 pm CST. Thanks for considering
my application.
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
Thanks for considering my application, I look forward to interacting with The Grim.
