(IC) What name or title do you go by?
     - Vykalidan Galurea Bloodethorne, Grand Warlock of the Undercity.

(IC) What is your gender and race?
     - I am a Sin'dorei of the fairer persuasion.

(IC) What is your class in life?  Why did you choose to follow this class?

     - While I shall vehemently deny it to any other who might inquire, I shall admit that I am a follower of the shadow and a practitioner of the dark arts. My choice to walk this road was, much as I am loathe to admit, not my own. The circumstances under which I came to it, however, are only for those privy enough to know. What I shall tell you, is that  at one point, I found myself without proper guidance-- and found it in a most unlikely place.

(IC) How would you describe yourself?

     - I shall leave you to question whereof I am made, that such strange shadows should upon me tend. For if everything, hath everything one shade-- I, but one, shall every shadow lend.

(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?

     - A Grand Warlock is not something to trifle with-- the eleven thousand who did bear testament to that fact.

(IC) What drives you in life?  How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?

     - Power. Malice. Misery. Force of Will. These are the four pillars upon which my being is supported.  You, my kin, my brethren, have much to gain from my experience, knowledge, and drive to succeed at all cost. I am driven, above all things, to decimate all who would stand against you-- to reduce your enemies to naught  but ash and cinder.  The truth is, dear Grim, that I am as much a benefit to you, as you shall be to me.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?

     - I began as the Apprentice to Lethandrian Flamestriker and subsequently to the Grand Warlock Bartholomew Reed, of Lordaeron. Under his tutelage I became one of few within the confines of Undercity to discover the power of antiquated magic and ritual. Shortly thereafter I began a campaign against the Alliance traitors, to repay them for their willingness to allow the massacre of my my people and the burning of our forests during the Second War. The success of my crusade brought me again to the attention of the Undercity, which agreed to back my organization in exchange for my aid on the Arathi front.  I served them honorably and without hesitation, ascending to the rank of Deathbringer under the Black Bride.  I was recently named Grand Warlock of the Undercity for the vengeance I have wrought in the name of my Master.

(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?

- The Warcheif is either a brilliantly subtle strategist, or a fool cohersed by the seductive wiles of a do-nothing human whore and the paranoiac predictions of fatalistic prophets and tragic dragons. The thought of an armistice sickens me to the core.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members.  What does that mean to you?

     - Oh, wow. I hate to tell you this, but you have opened one USDA Grade A Can-o-Worms. Full Immersion means exactly what it states: complete immersion in storyline and character without doubt nor exception. I can not, and do not, tolerate people who can not stomach the idea that I want to slip on someone else's skin and jump around in it for hours at a time [ That was creepy, and I am not sorry. I -am- a warlock, after all.]

That said, do not talk OOC around me. Do not stick OOC  text in brackets and  expect me to be understanding, because frankly, that is what /whisper is for. People do not say "parentheses parentheses oh, sorry i will be are be parentheses parentheses" NO! Bad!  Full Immersion  gives me the right to strike you down with the nearest heavy  object if you choose to speak in such a manner, and i suggest that you remember that!

It also gives me complete license to be a lorehound in every sense of the word. I relish tearing apart BAD RP in the hopes that someone, somewhere, might learn from my sterling example. I understand if you disagree with this, but I do reserve the right to be an elitist dorkazoid.

All funniness aside, Full Imersion RP represents not only an ideal, but a certain caliber of player. A certain level of dedication and maturity. That is what I seek, that is how I choose to play. It is not only a play style, but the veritable silver seal of quality-- the golden standard that I hold everyone else to, as well as I do myself.

(OOC)  The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies.  How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate?  Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim?  If so, what do you expect out of joining us?

-There is absolutely no conflict. My character fits your guild -ideally- in that her motives are precisely aligned with yours.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line?  Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?

     - Screw Gygax. Seriously.  if Gygax had been born with my womanly assets and begotten a child with George Lucas, That child would be me. And Upon my coming of age, I would lord over them both as supreme queen bee of all roleplayers and world class storytellers.

*Cough* actually... i retract that statement. I've just been at it for 10 years, give or take. I have experience in LARP, AOL chats, MUD-RP, WoWRP, DnD 3.5, and Forum based RP. I am also a DM, a former forum moderator, and RP Guild Leader.

(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience?  (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)

     - I have played WoW for approxiamtely 5 years, always a warlock, always PvP and Raiding. I came to the WoW RP scene about two or three years ago, just before the advent of Burning Crusade. I am an Arena Warlock with 1.2k resilience, and I am damn hard to kill.  I have been on Ysera, Rivendare, Lightninghoof, Moon Guard, and Wyrmrest Accord. PvP is my second passion, my first is RP. I like raiding but it is hard to find a spot in a good group, so I settle for the more independent PvP aspect.  I have played alliance to 60, during Vanilla, and I have run several guilds in the absence of leaders and subsequent to grating my own.

(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?

     - Vyk was transferred to TN so that I could be with my Fiancé.

(OOC)  What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?

     - I expect of you no more than I expect of myself: that is to say, the very best.  I want an active RP group, I want the opportunity to justify the outlandish comments i have made over the course of this application, and I want to make friends. I am lonely here. I miss my old server, and my old guild-- which i had to leave for IRL reasons. I need a place to belong, and I think you are it.

(OOC)  When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim.  In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule.  Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Aquizit.

Mon-Fri except Weds-- I will be on in the evenings, sporadically.
Wed-  I tend to be on after 6pm EST.
Sat- All day, until about 6pm
Sun- Typically not online.

I adapt to new guilds quickly, and probably won't need much in the way of guidance... but I would ask that the person who chooses to partner with me be prepared to have fun, and stay in character.

(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.

observe and weep, mortal.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?

OOC:  I am not as much of an arrogant prick as I seem, and I don't want to put you off. A lot of how I expressed myself here is all in fun, and is meant to be taken in a humorous light.  I have an off-color sense of humor sometimes, and believe it or not, my favorite person to laugh at is myself.  It has been so long since i had a good guild. I am desperately hoping to get in, despite all bravado.

IC: Allow me to join you, my brothers and sisters,  let us herald in a new age for the Horde by the destruction of the Alliance. Let there be Peace, through Annihilation.

Why did the godswhohavehaveforsakenus leave behind so many tribulations. A few months in the soul cage might tenderize the meat to a manageable level.

If I am not mistaken, I was scheduled for an interview this eve.
Thirty minutes have passed, and none have appeared to answer for what I was promised.
I am most disappointed, and trust that a valid explanation shall be given?

My thanks,

Grand Warlock Vykalidan G. Bloodthorne
of the Undercity

Qarosimae crosses her arms. "I'd like to hear an explanation as well, if only because some woman I have never met contacts me during my reading time and asked me about the inquisitors."
