- I simply answer to Ziyus. (Zye-Us)
(IC) What is your gender and race?
- I am a Blood Elf Male.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
-If I said that I followed the path of a Priest, I would certainly be lying to you. Though I am a Priest, my path lies within the Shadows. I once believe that I could make a different, that I can help people. I wanted to use my abilities to help better Azeroth. How young and naïve was I? I’ve grown to learn that I cannot help anyone who refuses to help themselves. Over the years, people have become an annoyance to me. They eat what they cannot cook. They drink what they cannot conjure. They buy what they cannot afford. They are sickening. I chose the Darkness because it gives me refuge.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
- I could say I’m cold. I could say I’m cunning. I could say I’m intelligent but there lies the problems. All everyone ever does is talk, talk, and talk. I prefer action and my actions alone will allow you to form your own conclusions regarding my personality.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
- Honorable *Chuckle* I have massacred 21,256 pitiful lives, both Alliance and Horde. I do believe the Battlemasters are still counting.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
-Gold? Jewels? Trinkets? No, it’s far more complex than materialism. We live in a broken reality where all life can end in an instant. Knowing this drives me to live, achieve, and succeed. The Grim would benefit from my knowledge in the dark arts, my loyalty, and my devotion.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
-Prior to the Grim, I roamed Azeroth searching for purpose and I think I’ve found that purpose if I am accepted.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
-Heh, our Warchief Thrall. Thrall is an extremely intelligent and menacingly powerful Farseer there is no doubt about it. I respect him for allowing my People within the Horde but he’s trying to play peacekeeper between the Alliance and the Horde. I pity him for this. When will he realize that fool Varian does not see things the way we do. The only way to end this everlasting quarrel between the Horde and the Alliance is to slaughter the latter.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
- From my research, The Grim is the epitome of what a guild on an RP server is supposed to be. I understand the rules and although I’m not the greatest roleplayer, I believe that The Grim will expand my knowledge and skill in the area.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
-Ziyus is the type that appears to be calm and neutral unless you dive deep into his mind. He’s somewhat of an Anti-Villain. He does whatever it takes to achieve his goal even if he has to fake an allegiance with someone. The Grim can use his personality to their advantage. Look at him as a parasite feeding on the enemy from within and then eventually killing them.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
-I’ve only role-played on WoW. I started my character on Ravenholdt, another RpPvP server, in May of 2007. I believe late late last year I transferred to Mug’thol for a change of scenery. I found it boring when I had nothing to do and decided that I return to my roots, RpPvP. Although I’m no beginner, I’m definitely not a Legend at Roleplay.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
-I love to PvP though I can never make it to high arena ratings. I have been raiding since the burning crusade. I’ve completed SSC, up to Kael in TK, all of MH, and little of BT as far as TBC goes. As far as WotLK is concerned, I’ve completed 10/25 Naxx, OS, 10 EoE, and 10/25 ToC, I’ve done up to Putricide in ICC 25 and only the first four bosses on ICC 10. I completed all of the Hard modes in Uld 10 with the exception of the last 3 and Algalon. I really haven’t dabbled in ULd 25. I took a long break and I’m currently catching up. My gear score is 5411 at the moment.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
-My character is a transfer from Mug’thol.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
- I am looking forward to building a bond with my Guild mates and aiding them whenever they need it. I hope being in the Grim will teach me how to become a better Role-player.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Aquizit.
- I am a Full time student in college and also a resident assistant. On Mondays and Wednesdays I only have class at 10:00 – 10:50 and another one from 5:45 – 7:00. If I’m not involved in any school work or activities, I should be on. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m free after 3:15. I’m probably going to always be on between 7:00 p.m. and 12:00p.m. because those are my duty ours. The thing is that I will probably not be able to raid because there will be chances that I will have to leave the room. Fridays and Saturdays I’m pretty much free. Sundays, I’m only busy from 7:00 to around 8:30 p.m. All my times are central.
