(IC) What name or title do you go by?
Ghroth.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
Female troll.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
Priest. The ability to mend flesh (of friends) and control minds (of enemies and friends).
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
Controlling, in very bad and very good ways. Possessed of a burning drive to support and defend her community (good), as well as to discretely add zombie mind-control drugs to the food of close friends and loved ones.
(IC) How many "Honorable" Kills do the Battlemasters currently have recorded for you?
860. 130 world kills.
(IC) What drives you in life? How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
Community -- keeping it safe. No threat to it may be tolerated. Hence annihilation of the Alliance.
Tradition -- preserving and spreading Troll tradition. Pointedly, she does not 'Stay away from the voodoo'.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
Travel. What is the point of mystical power if you cannot flaunt it over strangers?
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
Publicly: treasonous lies. Privately: there might be something to this. Thrall might have to be eliminated.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
That means to me that being 'in-character' is the default state of play. In a 'light-RP' guild -- you spend most of your time OOC, with RP occuring on special occasions. For heavy-RP, it's the other way around.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of joining us?
I see myself in full accord with this point of view. Ghroth views good and evil as mystical energies that it is important not to get too wrapper up in. She views evil much like a mage views fire magic -- very useful, but don't let it go too far.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
A fair amount of online RP experience (Alliance side on this server no-less -- in the Ironforge Regiment some time ago). Large amount (14+ years) of real-life roleplaying experience, 95% of it as a story-teller for various game systems. I have a penchant for moral shades of grey.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
Yes. Horde Druid to 70, with PvP and (limited) raiding experience as feral and resto. Alliance Warlock to 70, on a pvp server. Several other characters to 70, but played much less. PvP is my focus. I loved heroic in TBC, but am less fond of raiding because of the drama that tends to go along with it.
(OOC) Is this character a server-transfer or has it been renamed recently?
No.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
Good groups, adventure, annoying the Alliance. Honestly, I love group world-pvp and crazy adventures. You want to pull a world-raid boss into the middle of an alliance town? -- I'm your man. Want to form a raid to go fishing in Stormwind -- I can't say no.
(OOC) When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim. In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule. Please give a general outline below, OR if you wish to keep it private, send a PM to Lascivious.
6PM - 11PM most days.
(OOC) Please provide an armory link to your character for verification.
