(IC) What name or title do you go by?
      -  Velthorian Darastrix Nightwind.  Darastrix will serve the purpose well enough.

(IC) What is your gender and race?
      -  Male, Sin'Dorei

(IC) What is your class in life?  Why did you choose to follow this class?
      -  I am what one would call a Death Knight.  It was less a choice and more a thrusting of circumstance.  Suffice to say I have accepted what I am now and strive to improve the abilities therein.  Abilities and incantations of old now feel foreign, akin to an initiate come training.

(IC) How would you describe yourself?
      -  Observant.  The execution of my actions are often efficient and effective.  I am at any given point in time both methodical and calculating but rest assured the adherance to pleasant cordialities are not found wanting.

(IC) What drives you in life?  How would the Grim benefit from having you among its ranks?
      -  The improvement and development of my abilities; that is to say, those of more hostile inclinations.  On the same tier is the pleasure of removing my enemies from the mortal coil.  Luckily, both of these goals compliment one another admirably.  This naturally comes with the necessity of time, and I am patient.  But while I am patient, I have no tolerance for inefficiency.  Too many are now caught up in the confusion of politics and this does nothing but impede progress.  From what I have heard of the Grim, they are not one blinded nor inclined to dwell about and waste time.  The Grim knows who their enemy is, what they want of them and thus strive to see that goal accomplished no matter the cost, or so it is said.  My own views are not much different and should it be so, the Grim would have my loyalties and my determination to see to the completion of its goals.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
      -  Originally I trained as a magister but evidently that particular journey did not make it to the end of the path.  Since the transitional intermittance of becoming a Death Knight I have been wandering the Outlands, learning, observing and training.

(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?
      -  If the pact was simply a strategical political manuever by Thrall then I applaud the ingenuity for obvious reasons.  However, even from my limited experience he does not seem an individual of deceitful means but instead both direct and word-bound.  On that note I am afraid with proper respect that this is an example of being so caught up in political diplomacy that progress is impeded.  There is a more efficient way in which to deal with the Alliance, a more direct and decisive way.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members.  What does that mean to you?
      -  That means a character in-game is in-character at all times.  Everything that is done in "say", "emotes", "yell" is always as if your character did it.  There are no take backs or periods of "roflcopter" conversation on those mediums.  This can extend to "party", "raid" and "whisper" as well depending on the people you're interacting with.  If you do need to speak oocly then you should do so on a closed medium and designate your words accordingly.

(OOC)  The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies.  How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate?  Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim?  If so, what do you expect out of you joining?
      -  Darastrix in person is a great conversationlist and while everything he says is thought out and calculated it does not mean he isn't genuine in his interest or cordiality.  Nonetheless when it comes to enemies he is ruthless, merciless and even cruel in his dealings.  in addition he has a very strong sense of loyalty as well as an incilnation to organization.  Thus, structure and a defined chain of command is more than perfect in his eyes and the complete destruction of one's enemies hardly brings pause or hesitation.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line?  Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
      -  I began role-playing at a relatively young age after randomly picking up a D&D book from the store and dragging my friends into the awesome that I saw.  This grew to role-playing in Ultima Online to Everquest II to World of Warcraft and a variety of other MMORPGs.  While I wouldn't consider myself a beginner I also don't believe I am the epitomy of roleplaying and should be put on a pedestal.  I can pull my own weight in RP well enough and am still improving my skill with practice!

(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience?  (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
      -  Since the first day of WoW I've played on the Alliance side.  Every so often I would work on a horde character but in all Horde-side to me is like coming to a foreign country.  Most of my raiding experience is in the 60s but mainly in terms of game content I have always been an avid PvPer.  From the days of no BGs and when Tarren Mill and Southshore was a freaking war zone to present I have loved PvP.

(OOC)  What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?
      -  In joining the Grim I hope to become part of a group of intelligent, friendly and heavy roleplayers.  I want an environment where roleplaying is promoted, respected and encourged.  At the same time I hope the players I come to interact with are friendly and sociable.  Essentially I want a guild where people have fun and enjoy the company of one another.

(OOC)  When joining the Grim, each new applicant will be matched up with someone to help them get into the swing of being Grim.  In order to coordinate this, we will need to have a fair approximation of your play schedule.  Please give a general outline below, OR send a PM to all (not just one) of the following members: Acherontia, Nymare, Tecunuman
      -  Once upon a time i used to play quite often from the afternoon to evenings.  Unfortunately I am currently tied up with 21-units of school, work, and taking care of a sick father.  As such my play time during the week tends to be during the evenings on weekdays between 6-12pm and anytime during the day on weekeneds.

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
      -  I have taken the time to contact a few of the members both in-game as well as joining your teamspeak server just to see what the members of the guild tended to be like.  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly you were with one another on teamspeak.  In-game members were often very helpful so long as they weren't incredibly busy, completely understandable.  Look forward to hearing from you.  Peace through annihilation >.> Thanks Nymare...

Your failure to present yourself, as well as lack of any communication to make us aware that you would be absent, was noted, Death Knight.  Impress me with a reason why I might give you another chance, and you just might get it.
