Sylvea
(IC) What name or title do you go by?
They call me Sylvea; that’s all that’s needed to be known.
(IC) What is your gender and race?
Female, Sin'dorei.
(IC) What is your class in life? Why did you choose to follow this class?
Rogue; I come from a family with a long history of mages but I could never wield magic to the skill or potential they expected. So, now I keep to the shadows, making my own way.
(IC) How would you describe yourself?
Quiet. Watchful. Careful. Loyal. Reserved but formidable when provoked.
(IC) What drives you in life? Why do you want to be Grim?
I want to prove myself, show the ghosts of my past and present that I can be a part of something bigger; I want to be Grim because they work for the purpose: to annihilate any and all who stand in the way of us prevailing.
(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?
I traveled Azeroth, fending for myself, stopping every once in a while to rest or to help a comrade in need.
(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the
Warchief Thrall?
Pacts are made in hopes of creating a passive peace but peace is never a definite when we are all still at war. He made an attempt, we are left to either strengthen or obliterate it, gaining our own sense of the word.
(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion
(heavy RP) of their members. What does that mean to you?
That means I can spend several hours living as someone who’s a way better version than I am.
(OOC) The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure
and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies. How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate? Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim? If so, what do you expect out of you joining?
She wishes just as much as the Grim does to see any and all enemies fall beneath their feet.
(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or
off-line? Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?
I don’t consider myself Gygax but I don’t consider myself a beginner either.
(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience? (PvP, Raiding,
Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)
No; but I’m learning fast.
(OOC) What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are
your expectations of the guild?
I’m looking for an active guild that’s fair in all aspects. I expect what anyone would expect; high expectations! Honestly, I expect the guild to help mold my character into someone better, someone that can be useful in future endeavors.
(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?
There can be no change without a fight to obtain it.

Re: Sylvea
He is among the Mad, and he's never seen at his post. So I'm unsure of how he would interpret this.
[[I'm the only one active in the guild, even over the guild master. Out of the 10 or so people, some haven't logged on in months.]]

Re: Sylvea
Why do you choose to ally yourself under such a banner, then - if he who leads you is mad and largely absent?

Re: Sylvea
It wasn't this way in the beginning.. Those who were once around, slowly seemed to disappear. Soon enough, even our leader was scarcely seen. Even though I'm loyal, there comes a point where even that isn't enough to stick around waiting for echoes.

Re: Sylvea
Expand a bit on the cause of your now-absent comrades. Were they of a like mind concerning the war and what must be done to secure the Horde's future?

Re: Sylvea
They believed in our leader's cause: to utterly destroy the Alliance but none ever seemed to follow through.. So, now I look to branch out and find the focused, solid force I thought I had but which never existed among them.
Re: Sylvea
Hm. I came to The Grim under similar... reasoning. Though I did have the tact to be completely free of my previous banner before doing so. Which begs the question as to why she remains ... assuming she does still remain among them. The goblins are sometimes misinformed on these things.
In all fairness... if there is even such a thing, but for the sake of argument I'll pretend there is for the moment... she did not say to whom or what she is loyal. It could be an idea. The self. Loyalty must be all-encompassing?
Though I am interested in how and to what you pledge your loyalties. Tell us- how does loyalty work for you? And why, if you infact do so, do you remain under the banner of the Mad which have seemingly abandoned you?

Re: Sylvea
The goblin's machines seem to be on the fritz. I no longer belong to them, no longer bear their tabard. I was loyal to them once, yes, but that time has passed. I remain loyal to a cause when I know it is there and it is strong; that is how loyalty works for me.
