(IC) What name or title do you go by?

Ralthos

(IC) What is your gender and race?

Male, Blood Elf

(IC) What is your class in life?  Why did you choose to follow this class?

Rogue: One who posesses the will and ability to master the shadows and use them against his enemy in combat would be a fool not to do so. There is nothing sweeter than the final      whimper that finds its way from the lips of your victim when you slide your blade through that perfect artery and feel their soul leave its host. The blood that escapes and dances it's tale of death upon its given canvas is a wonder in its own right. Why did I chose to be a Rogue? because there are none more skilled in the art of Death.

(IC) How would you describe yourself?

Extremeley Malevolent, hardly able to satiate the burning to desire to bring Death to the Alliance, uncaring of anything but that. The events befalling Azeroth of both the Scourge and Burning Legion hold no sway in my mind, I would see the world burn and die before I let the any of the Alliance draw another breath in this world.

(IC) What drives you in life?  Why do you want to be Grim?

The Reaping of Souls, I believe that the essence of life from one victim can only but add to the power harnessed by he who took the life. The killing of ones prey gives them a rush of an un-natural feeling of power, and makes your enemies fear grow in multitude, eventually your perception in their eyes grows from a normal being to Death incarnate, the very mention ofyour name making them tremble. What drives me in life? I live to feed on the fear of my victims, I live to deliver their souls away from this plane of existance.

I want to be Grim simply because your mindset couples with that of my own, to bring death to those who live under the banner of the Alliance, sparing not a single soul in the endless wake of Death.

(IC) What did you do prior to The Grim?

I wandered and killed, about as descriptive as can be..quite simple actually.

(IC) What are your thoughts on the pact between the Alliance and the Warchief Thrall?

The Pact? I paid no mind, though I hold my allegiance to the Horde to high regard, I hold nothing above my hatred..had the pact held I would have simply gone about perfecting my art of death, continuing to kill the Alliance, and anyone else who stood in the way, be it Horde or not...As I said, I would see the world burn.

(OOC) The Grim is a role-playing guild that requires full immersion (heavy RP) of their members.  What does that mean to you?

I believe it means that I must have a full grasp of who my character is, what his role is, and as well be actively involved in those of the guild, not straying away from the persona of my character for any reason i.e. OOC, unless it is necessary, as sometimes it is.

(OOC)  The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild, ruled by structure and a defined chain of command with the intent to see the complete annihilation of their enemies.  How does your character's personality and storyline follow the Grim Mandate?  Is there any conflict between how you want to play your character and the theme of the Grim?  If so, what do you expect out of you joining?

Honestly, my characters personality, the one he's had since creation, fits my play style perfectly in every aspect as far as I can see, I have no conflicts between how I play my character and the guild mandate.

(OOC) What sort of role-playing experience do you have, online or off-line?  Do you consider yourself a beginner or Gary Gygax?

I have been an RPer for many years, since a very young age when I learned how to draw and subsequently write, I have played many MMO's including a few web based ones (One called The Prophets Song, which I played for about 8 years) I would say I am a veteran RPer, have played Warcraft since the first RTS so I am very familiar with the lore and story, and make it a point to read up on anything I can.

(OOC) Do you have any previous WoW experience?  (PvP, Raiding, Battlegrounds, Different Servers, Different Guilds, Different Factions, etc.)

Yes, I have been playing since Vanilla, have had many characters which I rp'd in depth. I have always been a PvPer, have held many 2k+ rated teams and have had gladiators for every season since S1. I do BG's regularly across the board when I can and have played on many RP, PvP, and RPPvP severs (including Maelstrom, Raveholdt, and Lightninghoof, as well as Moonguard and Earthen Ring) have been in many guilds as well, ranging from full raiding, to full pvp/rp with no raiding. I have played Alliance, have had many chars (most of which both horde and alliance were rogues)

(OOC)  What are you, the player, looking for in the Grim? What are your expectations of the guild?

I am simply looking for both a guild with the same movtives as me (PvP, Raiding sometimes, and RPers) and generally given what I do for a job IRL, a guild that wont boot me when I'm offline for a week or two, or more depending. (I play as much as possible, but sometimes my job prevents that)

(IC/OOC) Do you have anything further to add?

I am in the US Army (Infantry to be specific), have been for 5 years, currently overseas deployed to Iraq (second and last deployment). I spend a week or two at a time away from a playable connection, the three days I have to play weekly/bi-weekly do not yield a connection suitable for anything other than world grinding and RP, PvP is a no-go unless its the occasional world PvP. I will be here till September under these conditions, then I will go home and be out of the Army and able to resume normal play, going to college etc. I hope this does not pose any major issues (save that conducting an in game interview will have to be coordinated well and is subject to change) If a player in my current situation is not wanted in the guild at this time, I can apply at a date when conditions are acceptable (i.e. Im not overseas) if deemed necessary.

Ralthos,

You don't sound like a typical elf.  That's good!

I do not usually do interviews anymore, but the High Inquisitor has assigned me the task of testing the current rogue applicants.

As a rogue, we do things other than only killing, though that is my favorite part of it.  Information gathering is also an important skill for us.  Such is the first part of your test.

There is another elf rogue whose application is in this same area.  Her name is Hitomi.  Without directly asking her, find out something about her that I do not already know from her application.

When your task is complete, find me.

I am curious as to why you mention nothing about your current association with the organization Death's Hand.  Correct that oversight.

Hmmm..an interesting assignment, and point of view. I have never been used for something like this, though I do agree information gathering is important. Very well, consider this task done.

(OOCly to Acherontia: As there is no IC way to explain this, Deaths Hand is a reserved guild name for an Alt of mine, just created about 2 days ago, nothing important)

((There are never IC explanations for OOC decisions until we create them.  ;)  Consider it an exercise in roleplay.))

((I have recently found out that due to my new schedule I will only get about 1 day or so a month to play, if that. Thus, sadly my initiation to your guild will not be taking place. Things change alot around here...what can I say, in any case, apologies for wasting your time.))
