How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
-I have had characters in Sanctuary over the years, and I have been aware of the Grim, and interacted with them on a couple of occasions, but that happened years ago.

The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?
-For certain.

Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
-I have done a fair bit of RP in WoW. Most of it was during Burning Crusade with my (now) alt Ishinara. I would consider myself a medium RPer. I like interacting with others in the context of a story, and I know enough about the lore of WoW to make sure my interactions are accurate, but I am generally not confident enough to start too many of my own storylines. Most of my storylines help develop my character, but I don’t always know where to go from there.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
-I do not have experience RPing as Lawful Evil, but it represents something I have been curious about. I believe that Lawful Evil Characters move stories further that most other alignments.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
-I have been playing off and on since vanilla and have been in a variety of guilds. Most guilds that I have left have been from moving servers (my friends on previous servers are no longer playing), or from guild inactivity. The most notable of my previous guilds have been House Atredeis (Winrunner) where I did progression raiding during vanilla. Sanctuary was where I learned to RP during Burning Crusade. I did more raiding with False Idols (Frostmane) for parts of WoTLK, but mostly during Cataclysm.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
-This is my main.

What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
-I enjoy the paladin play style and an introspective character seemed to fit better with a Tauren then most of the other races.

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
-The biggest thing I look for in a guild is community. I always want a place where I can get to know people (both in character and out). I do mostly PVE, but that stems from not having a regular PVP group. My schedule generally does not permit me to raid regularly, though I do keep up on my gear through LFR and apex upgrades. I would enjoy the opportunity to do some regular PVP, but I tend to prefer battlegrounds over arena matches.

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
-In WoW I have raided as a Hunter, Restoration Druid, Mistweaver Monk, and Holy Paladin. In Final Fantasy 14 I spent about 6 months healing, but I quickly got bored of the bland class mechanics. I tend to enjoy playing support characters more than damage or tanking.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
-I enjoy PvP greatly when things are organized. Most of the PvP that I have done was in WoTLK as a retribution paladin. I have not healed as much in PvP as I have in PvE, but I would be open to trying it out in an organized setting. I played warhammer online as two different healing classes.

Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
-Yes, understood.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
-I have stable internet and good FPS.

Provide an armory link to your character.
-http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/t ... n/advanced

What days/times do you typically play this character?
-I play mostly on Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon and evening as well as Saturdays in the morning and afternoon.

Have you read the Required Reading? Do you have any questions or concerns about anything there?
-Yes, everything seems clear.

Have you read the Mandate? Do you have any questions or concerns about it? Can your character live by it?
-Yes, I can follow the mandate.

Do you have anything further to add?

Thanks for taking the time to read my application.

Thank you for your application, Raukon. We have both organized PvE and PvP, so you're welcome to seek out the leaders of those wings, Anaie and Leyujin respectively. Moreso, we welcome active roleplayers - which you will need to be to make it through our trials!

The Inquisition holds its office hours every Monday night, this upcoming one being at 7:00pm server time. This time alternates every week with the later slot of 8:30pm. If you cannot ever attend, please let us know and we can make other arrangements. Your in-character interview will be conducted in-game by Inquisitors.

We look forward to hearing from you, and your letter of intent will receive an IC response.

I hate for my first impression to be one of, "accommodate MY needs!", but the chances of me being available at either of those times on a Monday is slim.

I am available every weekday between 4-5, and any time after 4 on Wednesdays. My schedule is also more open on the weekends. I could make myself available on the weekend if I know a couple of days in advance.

Is that 4-5 server? I can meet with you to do your interview, and we'll discuss how we'll handle your trial progress reporting.
