How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?

- I have RP’ed with them in Ashran on my level 100 troll hunter, Atalshi. I’ve RP’ed with Syreena, Lupin (can’t remember his long name), Lilliana, and a few others.

The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?

- Yes

Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?

- I have RP’ed since 1999 when I joined Everquest’s Firiona Vie server. I’ve RP’ed in most of the major MMORPG’s. And yes, I am a heavy RP’er. For me, I RP, in character as MUCH as possible, if the guild chat is IC, I immediately assume my character’s demeanor. I will RP in instances (if I run them), not so much PvP as I’m sure I would get laughed at, in /say as well. I would say group as well, but I know people have different rules for that.

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?

- Yes. I’ve done it in SWTOR.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.

- Back at the launch of WoW, I actually ran two guilds (not simultaneously mind you). I ran an Alliance guild called Defenders of Elune and Emerald Phoenix, both on the Silver Hand server. We were a heavy RP server and with time, people were looking for raids which I couldn’t provide at the time. So the guild slowly fell due to lack of membership. I was also an officer of another guild no longer in existence and I can’t remember the name of the guild it was that long ago.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.

- My “main” (though I really don’t distinguish between the two because I play all my characters equally) is Atalshi. But I think this character, Kaevia, would fit The Grim better. And I think the RP will be much better.

What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?

- Death Knight. Because…well…I like playing a Death Knight. Do I need another reason? *laughs*

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?

- Mostly, I’m just looking for RP. I will PvP, from time to time. But I’m really not good at it.

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?

- I’ve raided. But because I’ve gotten slower, and because of my job (in chemical manufacturing and because I’ve been in contact with many different chemicals, so, side effects) I’ve gotten much slower. I don’t react as fast or click buttons as fast. I will do dungeons but am slow to pick up the fights. So I get yelled at a lot.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?

- I PvP, because there are no expectations for me to do anything more than fight. I played Planetside and WAS one of the best snipers in the game. But again, age and my type of work caught up to me. But I do like to PvP every now and then to fill the time.

Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)

- Yes.

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?

- My FPS bounces between 40-60 and my latency is normally 30ms or so.

What days/times do you typically play this character?

- From Mon-Fri: 11am – 3:30pm (EST), and from Fri-Sun: all day –these are my days off. Also, I read the “Inquisition Office Hours”, or your meetings as I come to understand it, and I work overnight 12 hour shifts from 5pm-5am. It’s required by my job. So I would not be able to make your meetings which are on Monday nights from what I see. Unless there is something we can work out so I can view the “meeting minutes” via some document or forum post. I want to be involved, to stay informed.
