Grim Application For <Kerala Windchaser>


How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
-I met The Grim just before the Eclipse plot line began, by way of my then-guildmates Konro and Breygrah. I've RPed with Lilliana, Khorvis, Cobrak, Inzema, Leyujin, Malhavik, Ruuki, Kraadash once, Awatu... lots of you now :)

The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?
-Absolutely

Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
-First roleplayed with barbie dolls as a child! Seriously, though, not until I met my husband- he and his brother made up a DnD-style game that we played. WoW is my first real video game, and my first character was Fäith, when special characters were not allowed. A name change was devastating, since I was very attached to my first RP toon, and that's when we came to Ravenholdt. Lomani (druid at the time) was still not a fantastic RP character- she just went along with the Horns without her own real personality. Kerala is my first 'real' character, and she was fleshed out and given life during a writing challenge issued for my birthday last year, so I could read a ton of stories :)

The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
-NOPE! But, I'm sure I can find a way to fake it. This should be fun.

Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
-Hand of Orgrim <?> husband's guild, Order of the Silver Serpents <?> probably moved or something, or quit the game for a while? college was hard, Horns of the Shu'halo <Ravenholdt> left to raid, formed Mists of Dawn before eventually server-hopping. I stopped playing to concentrate on school during Cataclysm.

Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
-No, I consider Kerala my main.

What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
-Tauren Druid. Tauren were the only ones capable of being druids at the time, and I fell in love with the race. Though Lomani was my original druid, I wanted the name for a priest, and I loved Kerala as well. Kerala is an island somewhere known for it's coconut exports. The coconut tree is called the "Tree of Life" due to it's many uses and utility for anyone who might be stranded with nothing... and druids that healed used to have to be shifted in Tree of Life form!

What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
-I love raids. Pvp with friends is fun, but I don't like losing repeatedly (so, not a big fan of that drunk pvp night I tried once with y'all :P )

What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
-I heal. WoW is my only video game. Kerala was an off-tank in Naxxramas once upon a time, but I would need training to do that again. I do NOT DPS.

What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
-Hubby and I used to wreck WSG as our original priest/hunter combination, and later druid pair. I'm not a great pvper though, as I just don't react well, but I don't think I suck exactly? I only heal. Raid-Kerala on Hyjal helped him get some 2v2s done for gear. Basically my job is to not die while he kills everything on his warrior. /shrug.

-Yes

How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
-Internet is through Verizon Wireless 4G LTE jetpack (cell phone internet). It drops us occassionally, but not terribly often. I can raid, but 40-mans will lag sometimes. If we drop, it's usually right on a boss pull :P

What days/times do you typically play this character?
-All the time, while hubby is at work. This means 12:00-21:00 weekdays and 700-1500 weekends.
You probably won't see me at all on his days off, which could be any 2 (not necessarily consecutive) but usually at least one weekend day. Also unavailable when <Rehaß>Hyjal raids- currently Wed, Thurs, and Fri evenings from 21:00-00:00.
