Grim Application For Tesonii Inbetween/Scythemia
How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
This is Kexti, and I do a lot of RP with various members of the Grim. In particular I’ve had a lot of interaction with Syreena, Lilliana, and Cobrak. I do RBGs with Drinn, CMs and RP with Malhavik, and more RP with Kerala and Lupinum.
The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. I also do PvP on Tes sometimes
Will you check them regularly (at least a few times a week)?
Yes. I’m very active on TNG, and adding another, more closely knit forum shouldn’t be any problem given I compulsively check my email and such.
Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
I’ve been doing RP for ten years now. I started GMing a 3.5 game in high school, became president of my university’s tabletop club while running a weekend campaign, and now I do my RP in WoW and over Roll20. I’m a heavy RPer in the sense that I like to goof off OOC but IC I really commit to a character. When I’m in WoW, and there’s RP happening, or RP can be made to happen, I bring my A-Game storytelling face.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
Yes. I played in an evil game (Way of the Wicked) as a LE Wizard. I’m also a GM, so my experience is mostly in playing evil characters, at least so the PCs can beat them up. Kex’ti himself skirts the alignment somewhat, as Syreena knows. Scythemia/Tesonii is a pretty fun character, and she'd fit into the guild well.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
Yes, I’ve been heavily involved in Sanctuary, but I'm missing out on a lot by not having a character in the Grim, and want to bring Scythemia on board.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
Yes. I play Kex'ti the most, but I want more exposure for different types of RP and also IC justification to do WPVP.
What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
Tes is a blood elf death knight. Originally, I wanted another 100 character and since DKs start at 55, I picked her up. But so far, she's been a ton of fun to PvP with.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
Primarily, I want to RP, but I’d be super stoked to do arena with him as balance, or potentially use this character’s attributes as a proxy for bringing one of my other characters to Grim activities for the sake of making it a fully-Grim experience.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
PvE experience has taken place of late on a mistweaver monk. I’ve done most of HBRF, will be leading a N. HFC, and plan on taking the N. HFC group to at least Heroic. I do challenge modes on the weekends as well, and have run numerous raids as a DPS DK.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
PvP experience extends further back to BC as a rogue, but since MoP, I’ve been playing Kex’ti as my RBG character, and Scythemia/Tesonii as my arena character.
Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application? (Please note, if your name does not fall within our guidelines and you do not want to do a name change, you are more than welcome to apply under a different character.)
Yes. Scythemia is an identity of Tes's, and was her name when she was raised. Tesonii is her birth name, and the one she's opted to use in polite society like Sanctuary.
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
Performance is fine.
