Grim Application For Kiannis
How did you hear about The Grim? Do you know anyone in The Grim?
-Browsing the guild finder for a medium/heavy RP/PVP guild. The Grim seemed to be the strongest group, let alone the most roleplay oriented
The forums are The Grim’s primary method of communication. Will you check them regularly?
-At least once a week, if not more, yes.
Tell us about your roleplaying experience. In WoW? Elsewhere? Do you consider yourself a heavy RPer? What does that mean to you?
-I started roleplaying in WoW Classic, into TBC, and WoTLK. In addition, I've roleplayed casually in Runescape, Minecraft, and Space Station 13 off and on. Last but not least, I've been part of several tabletop DnD campaigns. I consider myself a medium roleplayer, as there is fun to be had in an Ooc chat channel- However I enjoy the concept of mandatory IC guild/party/world chat.
The Grim are considered a Lawful Evil guild. Do you have any experience playing a character of this alignment or a character archetype that believes in structure with evil intent?
-Admittedly I've not pushed very far into the 'evil' alignment, more preferring to blur the lines in neutral territory. I've played thieves, criminals, and terrorists. Kiannis' contempt for the alliance has grown since his creation, Who was once a happy-go-lucky woodsman has declined into more of a somber and cutthroat gun for hire.
Have you been part of any other guilds in World of Warcraft? If so, who were they and what server do or did they reside on? Let us know of your experience with them and what made you decide to either leave or continue to stay.
-Officer of The Dawnstrider Legion (Alliance, Silver Hand). Classic RP guild- Removed due to OOC drama / standing up for basic members rights as opposed to officer cliques.
-Member of Malleus Maleficarum[Formerly; Team Facepull] (Horde, Twisting Nether). TBC & WoTLK Raid guild. Not officially an RP guild, however many members were roleplayers. Lost raid spot to poor performance/attendance falloff.
-Frequented the Twisting Nether Gazette forum/group.
Are you applying on an alt (non-main) character? If so, what are you looking for here that you are not getting from your main character? If you are feeling honest or adventurous, please let us know who your main is.
-I've gone back and forth over the years, from Kermranas - Silver Hand, to Kiannis - Twisting Nether. Since Rejoining recently in WoD, I leveled Kerm first, and am now giving Kiannis his due course. I've been searching for a community to ingrain myself in, and havent had much luck on Kerm
What race and class is this character? Why did you choose this race and class?
-Blood Elf; Hunter. After being removed from TDL, me and several members created an all-Blood elf guild. I had never played a hunter at the time, and many of the other members had already created other classes.
What are your expectations for your character after joining The Grim? What aspect of the game do you wish to focus on (raids, rated battlegrounds, arenas, challenge modes, achievements, etc.)?
-I'm hesitant to get back into any sort of hardcore raiding (Anything above normals, really), but I'm not totally opposed. I intend to focus more on PVP with this character, WPVP, Casual BG's before Rated. I'm open to testing out the Arena waters as well.
What is your PvE (player-versus-environment) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a raid environment? Do you have any PvE experience from other MMO games?
-Hosted UBRS raids in classic. Progression raided Black Temple and The Eye- Progression raided Ulduar. I really enjoy tanking on my warrior mentioned above, and am heavily considering trying a healer as my next character. I've never really been a big part of other MMO PvE groups.
What is your PvP (player-versus-player) experience in World of Warcraft? What classes and roles do you enjoy the most in a PvP environment? Do you have any PvP experience in other MMO games?
-My warrior has the 'Knight' title, which I'm decently proud of. I do my best to keep the team working together rather than infighting. I was part of a few arena teams back in the day, but never got very far in them.
Did you read and understand our guidelines on character names, listed at the beginning of this application?
-Yes
How is your computer performance when playing World of Warcraft? What is your FPS/load times during heavy graphical or high population times? Is your internet connection stable?
-I generally play on low graphics settings. My FPS/Load times are stable enough- With small spikes during the beginning of a heavy graphics/large group fight.
Provide an armory link to your character.

What days/times do you typically play this character?
- I work 2am-10am server time, generally. Peak hours would be 11am-6pm weekdays. Fri and Sun are my days off, so I'm generally on earlier if I'm not out and about (7am~6pm)
Have you read the Required Reading? Do you have any questions or concerns about anything there?
-Yes. And no. I have a rough outline of my Letter of Intent brewing up already
Have you read the Mandate? Do you have any questions or concerns about it? Can your character live by it?
-Yes. No. Yes. We may be playing evil characters, but we're still normal folks behind the keyboard. Simple logic and respect go a long way.
Do you have anything further to add?
-Nope! The Challenges of the Mandate seem fun
